Tpms sensor's
 

Purchased a set of new wheels for my 2009 dbs, was wondering if someone could recommend a good manufacture of tpms sensors to use on the dbs? I know they have to be programed? To match the dbs. Do i have to go to the dealer or can i purchase a scanner unit that can do this along with scanning the dbs codes?

Great place here. I used them for other sensors but looks like they have them for yours.

Relearn not totally sure on an Aston but these will be the OE type sensors already programmed. RDE048 actual OEM but the RDE011's are the same sensor.

My 09 DB9 required dealer relearn. At the time I bought my sensors through the dealer.

There are so many threads with so much confusing information on this topic. What I've boiled it down to is this: OEM sensors are stupidly expensive, and most aftermarket sensors are only rated for around 100 mph. I don't know about you guys, but I occasionally hit speeds around 165 on track, so I don't trust any aftermarket sensors. I also don't want to pay $1000 for sensors, installation, and programming on top of the cost of a $1300 set of tires.
I bought and installed the $35 TPMS eliminator from Redpants, and I have no sensors in my wheels. I check my tire pressures regularly (at least twice a month).

Huf, Schrader, VDO all make the OE sensors for various cars. They also make the same sensor without the car logo so you are not paying the logo tax. As long as you are not buying a cheap Chinese made sensor for $5 dollars from eBay they ALL are rated at top speeds. 100mph just is not true with the top manufacturers.

I was lucky. After testing the TPMS on my 2007 DB9 Volante, the TPMS checked out fine. After getting new PS4s, as I was driving home, the "Tire Sensor Fault" light came on. I was able to disconnect the cable from the SmartTire module and the code vanished (4 wire).

Had the had the TP light on before I put OK put my new rims and tires on with new PTMS sensor's, Tried the self learn? that didn't work. Maybe and issues before the new sensor"s? Is there a way to check the system ? and not the sensor's? Have a Foxwell on order, thanks

They are not self learning sensors, used or new need the ID codes entered into the Smartire module via dealer.

OK thanks, does each sensor have it's own code? So they can program F , R, LH and RH side. I see some for sale with different HMz frequency's, Can the Foxwell scanner do it? or a special tool. thanks for all the help and info and be safe.

At this point maybe you should bypass the system. Very easy and cost effective. Sensors are a dealer program, and for new sensors and programming it's the cost of a set of tires.

I do, and have posted several times. Do a search or connect 3 of the 4 wires together. But not the 12v supply. I suggest a DVOM and find ignition switched power at the plug. Then wire together others, 1 ground and 2 signal wires.
