Crazy Air Bags
Crazy Air Bags
So, I took my 2010 Vantage into have it SMOGGED so that our crazy Governor Newsom could continue to operate for a few more minutes and it failed as the "OBDII was not ready". Now, with only 15,000 miles and the fact that it is not driven much, that could be the problem. Anyway, I was leaving as the tester suggested that I drive it 50 or so miles and now it gets crazy.
The passenger airbag not on light was flashing but the car drove so I drove it home. Several restarts ended with the same message. Anyway, the handbook says to turn the airbags on and then off with a coin but there is no switch on the passenger side of the dash as claimed. There is a sticker but certainly no switch. I was about to give up and restarted the car and now everything is normal.
I never did find a switch. Is there one? If so, where is it on a 2010 Vantage V8 Roadster?
Anny thoughts on my issues?

Owners book is generic for multiple markets. But only the 2006 MY had that function. Make sure the passenger seat isn't reclining too far back as this plays havoc with the weight sensor and can do what your describing. As for passing SMOG check. Make sure your around 1/2 tank of fuel and drive at a smooth pace. Depending upon which monitor you need set it can also be involved with cold start, idle for a few minutes before driving.
