What is this number on my 2007 V8V windshield?
So, been learning a lot about the car over the past 2 months of ownership! Mostly good...some bad. Came across this sticker on the lower left side (drivers side, US). Was wondering what the number is for? It doesn't correspond with the VIN at all. Anyone know?

Definitely a government agency tracking device. Have you recently been followed when out driving?

My guess is it was the stock number at the dealer. Probably comes off with a razor blade .....

A good possibility...but I double wrap my head in tinfoil, so I am safe!

You really need to try the newer aluminum foil, tin has been discovered by them years ago.

Dealer technician here: That's absolutely a stock number. Detail likely just forgot to take it off.
Edit: BMW dealer, not Aston Martin.
