this is why I dropped grundy. Taking the car to work once in a while, stopping by the grocery store to pick up food on my way home from a meet, etc... i would like to take the car out once in a while and not just for car shows one or twice a year. I dont care what the agent says, this contract says otherwise. Hagerty does not restrict you from driving to work on occasion, or Sunday morning brunch, etc..
read your contract and what is actually signed. I was with grundy for years with multiple cars at a time and never paid attention until someone pointed it out to me when they actually had to use grundy coverage for an accident.
At this point it is American Modern or Hagery for my agreeed value policy only.

I have Grundy (Philadelphia Insurance) for thy past 7 years... did this issue come up with renewal?
my restrictions are no commuting or racing...
I'll have to start looking around because I have a few more cars under the same policy
Yep, look at the docs they had me sign. I was with them for 4 years prior, with my 05 Dodge Viper and 57 Bel Air. No claims and no tickets, i took it as a sign to drop them.
Well, I have Grundy up for renewal in August and decided to check Haggerty for my two cars... Non daily drivers and both Garaged...
2009 Vantage V8 and 2013 BMW Z4 - full coverage agreed value, zero deductible for both... 1 year premium about $1,000... Haggerty , with $500 deductible was about double...
I can live with the restrictions on the policy as I have 4 more vehicles as daily and occasional uses...
Does anyone know of insurance provers that don't require the car to be garaged 100% of the time when not being used? I sometimes keep mine in my driveway when i'm using to for a few days and Hagerty denied me as they will invalidate any claims if the car isn't 100% garaged.
Currently with travelers for they're charging me a fortune for a 2012 V8VS.....
Hagerty would not add my Vantage to policy till I assured them I’d annually drive 9K miles or
less (plus I have another car to point to as an alternative ride). they’ve been less and WAY LESS EXPENSIVE than Chubb/AIG or mainstream carriers.
while I did drive Vantage less than 9k, in the 4 years I’ve had my TR6 on that policy, they’ve never asked me to reaffirm annual mileage.
so far, they’re easily they’re easily the ‘best, most user-friendly agency & carrier I’ve ever contracted with.
EVER!
Agreed! I have moved both my DB9 and my E39 M5 over to Hagerty. No regrets and much more affordable!
I moved tr Traveler's Insurance. I pay less for the Aston and a Miata combined than I was paying just for the Aston on my previous carrier that dropped my policy (without ever having a claim).
Try Travelers Insurance. I renewed with them after being dropped by Mapfre.
Safeco, a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual, insured my Aston, Porsche and Ferrari for far less than my wife pays for MAPFRE just to insure her BMW. I just sold the Porsche and Ferrari, but insuring all 3 cars, with great coverage, no mileage restrictions and with the agreed upon values I requested (just had to provide 6 photos of each car) cost me less than $1,200/year total on one policy, and includes such perks as roadside assistance identical to AAA, annual refund checks for safe driving, etc.

Thats a great price. Is this collector car policy or daily driver?

How did you et Safeco to insure an exotic?
Same - I was with Safeco but they "fired" me as for my Aston policy a couple of years ago (despite having home and other cars with them and never having a claim), saying they are no longer covering Astons or exotics?

Strange that Safeco dropped you. I've never had a problem. They have insured my Porsche, Ferrari and Aston for years, and all with coverage I requested and agreed values. I sold the Porsche last year and the Ferrari a few weeks ago, but they still insure the Aston.

That's crazy. What state are you in? I literally got a letter of termination of coverage stating they were no longer insuring any exotics at Safeco.
