Hello everyone, I'm shopping around for insurance again - I've done the circles a few times but never went thru with changing, mostly because I find that other insurers such as Hagerty are actually about 20% more than what I pay today, albeit Hagerty is coming with agreed value policies.

Given the low amount of miles that we drive our cars, has anyone successfully used one of those "pay by mile" policies? While there's a few small companies out there, in regards to the bigger companies it appears Nationwide and Allstate offer policies like this. What stinks though is needing to plug in their monitor into the OBD port, which I'm not willing to do just because of the principle of it. But otherwise, I don't really see any other options to save.
