No kidding; that's awesome. Where do they do the work?

It seems to vary. They were borrowing the ramps at the local Jaguar dealer for a while but are in the process of setting up a more permanent facility locally for some of their other brands so will start using that instead.

I think initially they will still fly the Aston mechanics in but hopefully over time they will be able to use local staff and have some parts stored locally.

Okay, guys; you all have convinced me that not having a local AM dealer should not be an impediment to my purchasing an AM. I'm currently out of the country, but as soon as I return, I'll get right back on it. Thanks.

Hi, guys.

Well, I'm back in the country, although it took a couple of extra days due to cancelled flights and other delays. Thanks, Delta!

Anyway, I'm getting back to seriously looking to purchase an AM and I have already been in contact with the AM dealer in Dallas and confirmed that the CPO Vantage I linked to above is still available. However, now that I'm not limiting myself to shopping for a CPO, in perusing various car sites I came across this 2019 at an Alfa Romeo dealership in PA. https://www.alfaromeousaofwillowgrove.com/used/Aston+Martin/2019-Aston+Martin-Vantage-08f606160a0e081d40fdb53732dd2e5e.htm?mycarsr=vdp-recentCars]Used 2019 Aston Martin Vantage For Sale at Faulkner Alfa Romeo of Willow Grove | VIN: SCFSMGAW0KGN01765 (alfaromeousaofwillowgrove.com) and I was wondering what any of you thought about it. I think that Arden Green color is sharp as hell and looks great in combo with the Chestnut Tan interior. The car is $20k cheaper than the one in Dallas, but it is a year older with 10k more miles.

I hadn't realized how far the newer Vantage has dropped in price

An unusual and interesting color combo - be careful of lighter colored dashboards for glare (although polarized glasses will assist).

Without knowing how selective you are on overall condition, I would strongly urge someone local to put eyes on an example for you when buying remotely. What looks great in pictures can easily be different in person. I learned my lesson on this. While a dealer purchase, particularly one from an Aston Dealer, may give some comfort to some extent, it always makes sense for an objective view. If you find one in Houston and my schedule allows, I will happily volunteer to be your local eyes.

That one seems lower than most Perhaps only because of the mileage, but I'd be suspicious and make sure to check everything out.

Yeah, I'd say almost definitely the mileage. I've just recently shopped the entire AM line 2017 and newer. 40K miles is about the highest I've seen on any new models. Average seemed to be around 15K to 18K for 2017 to 2020.

Thank you. That's very kind of you to offer.

I've seen several with quite a bit more, including this 2019 Vantage with 50k miles and the dealer asking the same $79,900. https://www.carriomotorcars.com/used-Fort+Lauderdale-2019-Aston+Martin-Vantage-+-SCFSMGAWXKGN00865]2019 Aston Martin Vantage Fort Lauderdale FL | Carrio Motor Cars SCFSMGAWXKGN00865 Moreover, this one has been in an accident. That's why I thought the Arden Green one I linked to was a pretty good deal.

Well, there's at least one other person who thinks the Arden Green color is sharp as hell and wasn't bothered by the 40k on the clock because the ad for the car now shows that a sale is pending.

There will be others. My advice on ones you like, if you get serious enough, offer to place a refundable deposit pending ability to see it or have someone see on your behalf. That may at least buy some time and give you first right of refusal. Doesn't always work but worth a shot.

Very familiar with Carrio Motor Cars. ALMOST bit on one of their cars, but almost only counts in horseshoes.

You are probably suggesting what I am thinking.

Not an attempt to derail this thread but always best to research any dealer online via reviews/Better Business bureau complaints. It is unfortunate that some operate with few scruples as there are certainly quality ones who do attempt to operate to serve customers.
