What would you do in my situation?
Greetings!
I just joined the forum in the hope of getting some advice. I've always appreciated the styling and sophistication of Aston Martin automobiles, and I've always longed to own one, but have never been in a position to do so. While I've purchased cars over the past two decades whose MSRP exceeded six-figures, I've always needed to purchase large sedans (Maserati Quattroporte & a couple of Jaguar XJLs) due to family obligations, However, that is no longer a consideration, and I can now purchase a "toy" just for me. I absolutely love the stunningly gorgeous Vantage that was redesigned for 2019, but I don't want to go too crazy with my first AM purchase, so I thought I'd stay in the ~$100k ballpark and look for a low-mileage CPO.
Here's my issue: For most of my life, I've lived in major metropolitan areas such as Washington, DC, Las Vegas, and most recently, Miami and Miami Beach. However, my wife and I recently moved to Savannah, Georgia, and the nearest AM dealerships are 200+ miles away in Charlotte and/or Altlanta. So my question is two-fold: first, would you purchase any Aston Marton automobile without having the benefit of a local authorized service shop to take it to? Secondly, and more specifically, assuming you would make such a purchase, is there any benefit to purchasing a CPO vehicle when there is no way to have any future problems corrected under warranty? (Unless, I suppose, you could have it towed the 200+ miles to a dealership.)
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and guidance.

My experience on two cpo cars is Aston has authorized roadside service to pick up and return my car to me for warranty work. My closest dealer is 120 miles away. I did not buy either Aston from the service dealers but from Aston dealers out of my market area.
If you owned a Qporte, the Aston should be similar or even more reliable. I don't think the CPO is so important in your case. Don't buy the cheapest the Vantage, but rather a solid mid priced example. If it's CPO, you'll be more on the hook to have it serviced at an AML dealer for things that may not require it.
Since you are looking at a 2019, you can be confident that an independent can help you. I can walk to my Aston dealer and have multiple independents in the area, when my warrantee is up, I will be going to my independent. If they know how to work on a C63 AMG, they should be able to handle a Vantage! Good luck, KH

Thanks for your response. I'm not looking for the cheapest Vantage; in fact, my belief is that I'd be paying a premium just by purchasing a CPO (or any used Vantage for that matter) from an Aston dealership. Here's an example of one I had my eye on, although I don't even know if it is still available given that I haven't contacted the dealership yet.

One of the posters to whom I responded (stwsam) stated that he purchased his CPOs out of his local market, yet the local dealer arranged for the transportation of his vehicle. Nevertheless, what you wrote is still good advice. Thanks.

It is on the higher mileage side, so make sure you get a good idea of the overall condition, plus the condition of tires and brakes.
The other important thing is to make sure it has all the options you want. I was amazed at the options people left out of a car in this price range. From what I can see of this car, it has most of the normal options except the tech package.(which on the 2019 also means you get the plastic transmission buttons). Can't tell what audio system the car has.
