Antifreeze

My owners manual says my 2007 V8V coupe needs Havoline OAT antifreeze. Auto part stores, major chains, have discontinued the brand or never carried it. Where can I buy it without having to take 6 gallons at a time?

Prestone DEX-COOL is an Organic Acid Technology (OAT) coolant.

OAT should not be mixed with other formulas. I also wouldn't used the advanced formulas that claim to be compatible with any formula without flushing out all the old OAT COMPLETELY.

I have found the Havoline Brand Dex Cool on Amazon in the past.
Do not mix with other type antifreeze but any Dex Cool product should be compatible.

Any OEM compatible OAT would do, they're all proper color coded nowadays too.

Yes - OAT is orange (not pink, purple or red).

Also, agree that any manufacturer that has an OAT formula would be cross compatible just NOT with other formulas such as NOATs or HOATs.

EDIT : I am going to edit this now BC I just did a little research and found there are numerous suppliers of OAT and it appears there is no "color" each supplier is using for a given formula. It started out that way just didn't end that way. I've used Prestone Dex-Cool which is an OAT and is orange.

Are you doing a fluid flush or just topping off? I'd ask the dealership what they use and go with that.

Strange, I see it at every auto parts store that I go to. Not necessarily Havoline, but OAT.

I get the Havoline antifreeze for my DB9 at NAPA. They stock it on the shelf.
