Happy 2025 everyone! I want to be proactive and replace my 15 year old serpentine belt. NOT hard and no need to disconnect battery - a strictly mechanical job. Piedmont Tire & Auto - tell them I sent you. Cheers, Tom C.

I will let you all know once the work is done. As they are a valued community resource and highly recommended by the western PW Chatter Facebook page, I anticipate zero issues. It's a 2.5 hr job Andrew and their rate is about HALF what the richie/rich Loudoun Cty techs want.....

Very nice find. Something I may need to queue up in the future for preventative maintenance. Happy New Year Tom. Hope to sync up with you in 2025 for some fun drives and events.

Thanks Andrew. It took me over a year to find these folks. I probably queried 3-4 places about tackling the serpentine belt. All declined....(instead of researching it a bit -). The process I like to call "Self-Selection". Anyone who does not exhibit the self-confidence to do this job is someone I do NOT want to touch the car. Folks hear the name and then promptly forget that it is designed & manufactured by Human Beings. And quite straightforward for most of the issues we come across. As my car in now 15 years old (and 5 yrs past the OM-recommended due date to replace said belt, I figured I better get out in front of it -!

That is smart to do preventative maintenance. Also I have the same mentality where it was hand made by humans so therefore I should be able to figure it out. Best of luck with the job and report back!
