Well fellas, I think I’m ok *knock on wood*. After 24 hours cure, I put the belt on, filled with oil and coolant, dry started it a couple of times to build oil pressure then started. It fired right up, no weird noises and no dash lights! I think this concludes the harmonic balancer/idler pulleys/drive belt job, thankfully.

Now on to brake, power steering, trans, and diff fluids. Then brake pads, door struts, air filters, headlight defogging kit, headlight refinishing, headliner refinishing, swapping out the rest of the interior lights to led, installing my radar detector, and throwing my new floor mats from Ugur in. I have a week off of work to get it all done, hoping to have some time left to drive it once I’m finished 😂.

One last thing, and I may make this a separate thread, but when revving it in neutral, at around 1500-1700rpm there is a definitive vibration that can be heard in the cabin and felt through the steering wheel. It’s almost like when you have a window partially down and get the “helicopter” effect of air pressure. It was doing this prior to my work and was one of the driving factors in my harmonic balancer replacement. It’s not strong, but it’s there. I had my wife hold that rpm while I checked around the car and the engine looks steady with no movement, it actually looks more stable than it does idling, and no movement I can see from anything under the car either. The vibration does seem to match the exhaust burble, I’m thinking it might be harmonic resonance from the exhaust as I do have the fuse pulled so that the valves are always opened. I haven’t tried replacing it yet to see if it goes away. I saw a couple of threads on a different forum of people reporting this with the AMV12 but no definitive answer to the cause, with some speculating it could be the torque tube, but surely not at only 26k miles?
