I get the proper oil for $185 at O’Rielly, oil filter from AP Velocity, the gear oil and brake fluid from Amazon and cabin filter through Amazon also but they are a Mazda part.
I love my Vantage but one day enough is enough.
Any chance you could link to all those?

My local indy is really competitive but they add a stiff margin to parts, so I'd like to take the parts and fluids myself

Thanks. I know Rich (redpants) had been having health issues, so hoping it's not related to that.

First, I completely agree with your post #4. I am pretty resourceful with all the cars I've owned and will practically do any maintenance/repairs. With Aston, the company makes it almost (ALMOST) impossible to even source parts much less get through the labor part of it. Luckily, except for one example, I've been able to keep my DB11 V12 running and maintained completely on my own and hopeful that luck doesn't wear out.

A comment about Dimmitt - I recently was forced into a dealership with an issue I couldn't handle on my own. My car only came with one FOB which began to give me problems, so I decided the car was worth getting the original key set - two FOBS and one steel emergency key. I contacted Dimmitt and, frankly, they were wonderful with both service and communication. I worked with Christian there. Because my drive was over an hour one way, I asked for a service appointment so I could wait for the car, something I expected they would say no. But Christian did accommodate me. The only thing, the shop was so busy he couldn't schedule me in for 6 weeks (during the holidays). Service good enough I gave them a + Google review.

BTW, if anyone wonders - the keyset had to be ordered directly from the UK with proof of ownership. UK cut the steel key and provided the two FOBS. Then Dimmitt programmed the FOBS to the car. Total Cost...Wait for it.....North of $5,000.

I'm glad they were able to help you, I simply haven't had luck with them despite running into their reps at shows locally and exchanging information, maybe things are changing over there. I hope so!

In my case, I only had one interaction. One time might not make a reputation, but at least in my case, they did everything right. It might be too, that the service mgr for AM could be new. That's Christian. When I looked at their google reviews, there always seemed to be a grind with different SMs and not Christian.

As much as I hate dealerships of all kinds, I would be comfortable going back there if something came up I couldn't handle.
