Am Volvo And Mustang

i drove a newer Volvo today for the first time ever, and 2 weeks ago i parked a friends 'older' mustang for him.

first off i dont know anything about AM Volvo or newer mustangs, but if i'm not mistaken from my observations do these 3 cars share interior parts/ misc. finishes?

My personl experiences w/ Aston Martin:
I almost bought a Vantage 6 months ago and i test drove a Vanquish S last year. . .

am i way off on all this???

Yes, they are all part of the Ford group , it's amusing that you noticed it subtly and without knowing that they had the same parent company (at one point at least - Aston martin was recently sold and volvo is for sale) haha

Yes indeed they do share parts, on the aston probably the least amount of parts, as Ulrich Bez (CEO) specifically stated that on the new generation (V8/DB9) there were to be NO visible shared parts with fords.

Yes, they do share some parts - nothing visible is right. But I did notice that the navigation system UI in my DB9 looks just like a Volvo..

That's why I avoided the Nav. Plus, my V8 is supposed to be a damn sports car.

The key, which is fugly, is from the Volvo parts bin. And I know everyone loves the sounds of the Vantage but it sounds like a Mustang to me.

But.... other than that, I love my Vantage.

My key looks like the key from an older Jaguar XJ6/XJ8 .. and this is what the remote fob looks like:

Aston uses a bespoke aluminum platform... there are lots of articles about this.
