What are you guys paying for your R8s? I have yet to see one in Maryland.

my dad owns an r8 and got his for sticker from the dealer 2 months ago but thats because he was on the list for like 2 years but his friend just bought one from a dealer for 50k over!

 

At my dealership (Midwest) they sold one for $60k over MSRP.

 

They had one at a dealership in North Vancouver on display. The salesman told me they declined a 200k cash offer from a customer. I believe MSRP is 130ish Canadian?

 

They declined a 200k offer? What are they waiting for, someone to trade in a first born male?

 

Granted, this was a salesman telling me this, and we all know that they sometimes aren't the most truthful. However, he told me the reason they denied an offer was because having the car on display had apparently netted them some 18 more deposits. So, obviously if this was true, they would be better off using the car for display purposes and then selling it later on, rather than cashing in right away but losing potential future sales.

There's a lot of money in Vancouver, and the dealership this was at was in a more affluent area f the lower mainland. I could see people with money, but no idea about cars just driving by, seeing it and deciding to buy it. Hell, that's why I came in to look at it...I saw it as I was driving past and then said to myself "oh ****, they have an r8 in there; gotta check it out!".
