You'll obviously need new intercooler+piping, new downpipes, manifolds, etc. You'll need a built tranny pretty soon too. What are your goals for the car? You could opt for RS6-R Turbos instead of GT35s and still use stock manifolds, the rs6r turbos hold about 350whp each so you're good for about 650whp~ with them.

you'll crack the block well before you hit that 1000AWHP mark. You need to change which engine you'd like to base it off of. Oddly, either go 1.8T or VR6 and you'll get close to your goal.

1.8T can do it.
RS4 blocks are supposed to be stronger, but by how much i'm not sure. |

You need to do some research on 2.7T's and the block issue, they're failing around 700awhp. I'd like to see the single turbo car making 960awhp as I haven't heard of it and 034's GTI-RS is 807rwhp which I am going to guess and say is around the 700awhp mark in a S4 RS4 blocks are supposed to be stronger, but by how much i'm not sure. |
Who's tuning/building the car? That's your easiest way of making big reliable power, whatever engine/electronics your tuner is most comfortable and familiar with. Not many people building 800whp 2.7tt I know of a guy local he just put a 6766 on his S4 2.7TT (3.0L stroker) he's aiming for low 900s and fastest b5 but that is pretty much a full on shop car with unlimited funding for the project.
There are quite a bit of 800whp+ 1.8Ts setup for drag racing, half mile/full mile race events, bonneville salt flat runs. I would ditch the 2.7 as many have said they have problems holding power at those levels. Not sure what your budget is for the car but you will be spending alot of money on rebuilding everything from trans, axles, motor, fuel, etc and it's a very slim chance the motor we'll even hold it at those levels for long. Do you have to keep an Audi motor because you can make 1000whp with many other motors much easier. |

GT35 will be tough to fit under the hood without serious mods. Have you considered going with a big single?
Seams to be the more popular way to go for bigger numbers than trying to cram two larger frame turbos under the hood. Jason |

I looked at 6262 , yes . The weakest part with gt35 will be the manifolds , so I think I'll try the gt2871 first
