Anyone move from an Aston Vantage V8 to Gen 1 R8 V8?
Hello,
I appear to be caught in the fantastic position of choosing between the Gen 1 R8 and the AM V8V. Same years, '09-'11.
Anyone previously owned the AM V8V and switch over to the R8? If so, why did you change?
Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt.

I have a 2012 R8 V10 MT and two Astons: 2014 Vanquish and 2007 DB9, both V12, so I dont have an apples to apple answer but I have to say that the Audi is a very different experience. The AM's, even thought they offer almost 50/50 weight distribution have the driver behind a long hood closer to the rear axle, so it feels very different in the twisty road environment. I have driven several V8 Vantages and I think they are the funnest cars AM makes for sports car like handling. You cant go wrong either way, but the cost of admission might be less with an AM Vantage..

I have tested the V8 and it was a spectacular adventure, the handling and comfort it offers, it has enough power to bring it from the daily commute but it is very comfortable compared to the R8.
