The quandry:

I have a new RS4 coming (Avus Silver $73K) in the next two weeks.

I only need this car for 4/5 months, until the GT3 arrives. Figure it will have about 2000 miles on it, be in perfect condition, no abuse, so what will it be worth on resale?

More specifically, does anyone on this forum want to pre-buy it (subject to verifying the condition, of course)? Be warned, however if you mess around and can't complete the transaction I'll publicise that fact.

I'm not looking to make any money on the deal, only to minimze costs.

If the round trip is too steep (Audi Depreciation?) I'll pass on the car.

Let me know what you think? I'm obviously trying to guage the market.

The biggest down side could be that I absolutely love the car (like the R32) and not want to give it up...but a deal is a deal (and I won't mess you around)!

i try very hard not buy used cars. so far so good. :D

this might be a good idea if a CA guy want to step up to save the sales tax but u will get hurt in the resale market no doubt.

I bought it!

Didn't even test drive it, the sound is enough! I'll trade off each day with the 997S (X510) and then form an opinion.

I'll pick the car up next week when I get back from vacation.
