Keep drilling the right direction and you may expose S4play's nerve soon.

I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. It's not that hard to order a bunch of cars and flip them. A lot of guys do this for a living. Sad to see it happen more and more so on this board.

I agree Vincent and am giving him the benefit of the doubt. I just want him to respond. He had a GT3 for sale and would not respond to me and now this car. I guess he does not want Hawaiian money.

i know some people that do this, put the money down on the spot then sell it to others and make a profit. i think it is wrong the stealers are bad enough for overpricing. maybe it is bc my uncle was in the car biz for 30 years and he just told me enough stuff to make me sick. well i guess since the real estate market is **** people are making money on pre car slots now lol

Oh, I think I understand you now S4play. You're putting these deposits down without any intention of actually getting the vehicle. Instead, you're hedging that people will pay you money to take your spot. Here's your post from Audizine

"PM me for details, very reasonable asking only $15,000 for the slot over MSRP and no waiting"

http://audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=166137

If that's what you're doing, then just say so up front. Enough with the cock and bull story about how you've changed your mind and decided to buy a Ferrari instead, yada yada yada. I say let's just let S4play try to actually buy the R8 and actually pay for it. Now, that would be a feat.

It is a sad trend, worse even then greedy dealers who mark-up excessively since the flippers pose as enthusiasts while actually just trying to rip the real ones off. Darn poserballers - or for our Canadian friends poseurballers :)

These threads are entertaining though :D

Is this guy name Rick Ko? He used to have an E46 M3 right.

s4play Oct 24, 2007 02:45 PM

Just got back to seeing this thead, thanks for all the replies both negative and positive.

I did not know asking over MSRP is such a big deal and quite frankly my PM box is flooded so won't be able to see all the replies till later. If you guys seriously want the car email me!

As for calling me names guess I'm a poser or whatever you want to call me till the car arrives and that's fine with me..... :(

Whatever happened to the forum FS rules that said if you have nothing nice to say, then don't post?
