Update....I spoke to Rick on the phone (Number was on his homepage) and he is calling the dealer(Chicago) to get his order sheet for me. We verbally agreed on an amount and as soon as he gets the spec sheet we will draft up a bill of sale and I will send him a deposit. I will post results.

I finally had a chance to read all of the links....rick certainly gets around to many different forums. I now understand why so many members are up in arms.

Rick seems like a guy--he pm'd me back immediately today when I pm'd about the R8...though he still wants $15K over msrp!!! I wouldn't pay that for a 7gt3 much less an R8. He mentioned that Steven's Creek Audi had called him recently offering an R8 for $50k over:rolleyes: Could this really be?

Byron...good luck w/ this. are you paying the 15k markup to him? Rick mentioned he's bought several cars from this Chicago dealer...sounds like its legit, but you can't be too careful, even on 6speed. My concern was if buyer pays 15k to him, is it possible for the dealer to take the order away from hiim?

With 7gt3, I remember dealers were very hesitant when people tried to do the same.
