2002 Protomotive Built 996 GT2 6,000 miles 700+HP
Jamie your not going to let him get away with that statement? Good Lord what is this World coming too.
Jamie - come on now! You can't let Sean get away with that!!!!!!
Palette - Paul hit the nail on the head...the 5.79 has not been replicated, it was COLD and the car simply hooked that one run. I think Sean typically runs mid-low 6's.

Todd Knighton (Protomotive) built this car. IMO, he is the best tuner out there, although the fab work on my headers, oil cans etc is a little nicer. This car does have upgraded TB, Y pipe plenum and 3076 A/R 82 to my A/R 63.
In any event this car is very, very well thought out, everything was done right.
Personally, Jamie may be a little Douchbag, but I will admit when it comes to buildng fast cars the little **** knows what he is doing and consistently makes smart decisions.
And yes, I tend to only run pump or a mix of pump and racegas nowadays and limit my boost levels. Why you ask? Because I know that I will never have a better all around car, and that holds for this car. There might be some higher hp Supras or American V8's, but they have **** interiors, there might be somecars that have an edge on a road course but would nver hang w/ this car on the Mexican highway. I have yet to be beaten w/ my current se up.
Whoever gets it will have the penultimate streetable racecar that does almost evrything well (athough the turbos are too big for most roadcourses).
And my car always hooks....rear engine and R comps are the secret. I would get rid of the DR's on this car.

Having driven both R Compounds and DR's on our Porsche, I will say the drag radials hook quite a bit better in a straight line, they're at operating temperature much quicker as well. If you're going to road race the car obviously you will want R compounds on all corners. I will say that the performance numbers on this car aren't what I would consider "max performance" as they were performed in as is conditions, rather than multiple tests until an ideal run was reached. Jamie didn't own the car long enough to really get accustomed to it or test the car before the current owner made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
This car has always been run on race gas when achieving maximum performance numbers. Since changing hands to it's current owner he's driven it on a lower boost at a more conservative 550whp level. He has quite a few cars, and at least one with almost double the power of the GT2 when he's looking for his "fix". The result is the car has stayed in the absolute most pristine condition and always been maintained with no expense spared.
Tym Switzer worked on the car and fabricated the one off Xpipe style exhaust for this car and cleaned up some of the fabrication work. The car was also corner balanced and aligned at this time. It has been compression tested as well and came back perfect as one would expect. I have copies of a majority of the receipts from the original owner should someone want to see them (there is over 60-70k in receipts on top of the vehicles purchase price).

I hope that my set up will do the same!

I ran a single recorded 60-130 at 1.4bar. You ran months of 60-130 times trying to beat my one and only run. Congratulations. IIRC, weren't you pinging the whole time too? Or was that another attempt? I've lost track of all your bone headed moves.
If anyone has any questions on this car, just PM me. I'd be happy to go through any details with a prospective new owner. There is no nicer condition GT2 out there, stock or modded. I keep telling Cavin to keep it...way too nice of a GT2 to sell at that price.
