Procharged Pro Touring 68 Camaro for sale
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, a deterioration in my current business, and a new opportunity I am working on, I am putting my 68 Camaro up for sale. It is currently about 80-85% complete and being worked on daily at Gearhead Garage in Sacramento, CA. This is the same shop that built Mike Bassi's awesome 67 Camaro that was a Lateral-G Feature of the Month.
http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=6143 I have tons of pics on threads and in my photo album here: http://picasaweb.google.com/dwgordon/68Camaro http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/show...light=gearhead http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/show...hlight=vertigo Here is a parts list that is up to date and either in hand waiting to be installed or is already installed: All new sheetmetal BMW Sterling Gray paint smoothed firewall custom dash insert with 7 Auto Meter gauges (not finalized) 406 cubic inch small block (dyno'ed 700 rwhp) built by Jody Bernard Factory 400 2-bolt block with partial fill Eagle 4340 steel 3.75" crank Eagle 4340 steel 6" H-beam rods Ross custom blower pistons Speed Pro Plasma rings Milodon 7 quart pan Cloyes true roller chain Comp Cams hydraulic roller blower cam and lifters AFR rev kit Victor Jr. heads with Stage IV port by CFM Performance Crower stainless 1.6 roller rockers Holley Stealth Ram intake manifold and throttle body RC Engineering 75# injectors MSD 85551 billet distributor with GM melonized gear MSD 8mm wires D1SC ProCharger with 11 and 14 psi pulleys ProCharger brackets, pulleys for water pump and power steering pump Power Steering pump McLeod aluminum 168 tooth flywheel with steel insert Edelbrock Victor aluminum water pump GM Performance cast aluminum valve covers FAST EFI and harness Keisler Engineering TKO 600 5-speed transmission 3" 1053 steel driveshaft with 1350 yokes McLeod RST clutch rated to 800hp Currie Ford 9" rear with 3.70 gears Wilwood disc brakes front & rear – 13" rotors/6 piston fronts 12" rotors/4 piston rears Hotchkis front sway bar Unisteer rack and pinion steering Flaming River stainless steel tilt steering column Flaming River Waterfall steering wheel QA1 adjustable coilover shocks Air Ride Technologies Air Bar 4 link rear suspension Hotchkis Subframe Connectors Mini-tubbed Air Ride Technologies Strong Arm upper/lower control arms Hydraboost brake booster Custom-made stainless steel 1-3/4" to 1-7/8" stepped headers with Cape's high temp coating Spintech Sportsman XL mufflers Modo Innovations pedal kit Modo Innovations electric trunk release Treadstone Intercooler 1500cfm Cyclone Rods radiator with dual Spal fans Mach 1 gas cap custom built Esajian Wheels forged alloy 2 piece wheels powdercoated gloss black centers, polished hoops and lips 18x9.5 front with 6.25" backspacing 18x12 rear with 6" backspacing Nitto 555 tires front - 275/35/18 Nitto 555R tires rear - 335/30/18 ISS bucket seats custom leather upholstery and microsuede inserts front and rear ACC cutpile carpet kit with floor mats Marquez Design 1969 RS tail lights Twist Machine fender braces Twist Machine shifter Kwik Wire harness Rick’s stainless steel fuel tank in-tank Bosch fuel pump Billet Specialties battery mount I know we're in a tough market, but I am looking for $55k as it sits now. As most of you know, this is less than the cost of the parts and the car before adding in labor. This is a moving price as parts and labor costs are being incurred weekly. There is roughly $15-20k left to finish the car the way I planned on doing it, but it could be done for $10-12k if need be and still be fantastic. A buyer now gets to decide on all of the final fitment, design, and trim decisions. Otherwise, I finish it and sell it completed in 2-3 months. I am located in San Francisco and car is in Sacramento. Please email dwgordon at gmail dot com with questions, offers, or to get my phone number. Thanks for looking. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...lackstripe.jpg |
Nice project...why are you selling, and what are the final projected hp numbers w/ the Procharger?

This motor has under 1000 miles on it and was in a nearly identical 69 Camaro before I bought it. It did not have an intercooler (water injection only) and made just over 700 rwhp with 14 lbs of boost on a Dynapack. My biggest mistake (not really) was getting into the 996TT while waiting for this car to be finished! :D |

So what is missing? parts? or just time (labor)?
