Car currently has 34,700 miles and was purchased from Scott in the fall of 2008.

Like Scott I find it hard to let this very fast car go but am looking to get a 997tt.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The car has over $94,000 in modifications/labor/shipping costs (to and from Protomotive). To have a similar build like this completed takes around 1 full year. The car currently has 25,500 miles *CURRENTLY HAS 34700 MILES*. Engine was rebuilt at 20,424 miles.
This car is the current 60-130 Porsche record holder with a 4.67 run with 2-shifts at 1.6 BAR. I also ran a 5.19 on 100 octane at 1.3 BAR and a 5.52 on 93 octane at 1.1 BAR. I also trapped 148 mph on my old setup with GT30s and 60 less HP on drag radials. The car flat out flies.
It made 889 rwhp on Protomotive’s dyno at 1.6 BAR on race fuel, and 665 rwhp at .9 BAR on 93 octane. It starts on the first turn of the key each and every time and is extremely reliable. It has no leaks or CELs.
I’m asking $105,000.00, *CURRENTLY ASKING ONLY $52,900* but I’m open to serious offers from serious buyers.

Since purchasing the car it has been used mostly to drop my girls off at school on my way to work using 93 octane.

It's been used for 3-4 PCA driving events and been to the 1/4 mile track three times.

When first purchased I ran C16 in it at the 1/4 mile and trapped 147mph at about 1.55 bar.

Second time there I bumped a hay bale. A Ferrari specialist shop in Detroit replaced the front radiators and they pulled back the bumper bar slightly. No suspension damage and they did a great job putting on a new evo style front clip.

The car has been meticulously maintained by a top Porsche master mechanic.

The transmission was completely rebuilt last year using steel synchros and OEM style GT2 slave conversion by Brian Copans.

Cosmetically I'll describe the car as average although my friends think that's selling it short. Will let the pictures do the talking.
Basically people on the street think the car looks really good.

Porschephiles will notice the dash by the windshield had some superficial wrinkles that the car already had when I bought it in 2008. The passenger window tint has a wrinkle.
There's a scrape on the front driver side caliper, a small ding on the rear bumper, some road gravel dings on the front radiator, a 1" scratch on the driver seat as shown in the pictures.

Mechanically the car is great. No boost leaks or oil leaks. I bug my mechanic to go thru everything whenever he wrenches on it and he can't find anything else to work on.

I'd be interested in trading w/ cash to a 6 speed '07-'09 997TT only.

This is a bit of a confusing post: "I’m asking $105,000.00, but I’m open to serious offers from serious buyers. " but the price is also listed as $52,900. Also, the it looks like all of the videos are deleted?

Besides that, very nice mods and 60-130 times are fast. GLWS

Yes, I also thought this was confusing. Are you asking 52k or are you looking to trade for a 997 turbo? I understand the original ad was asking for 105k. Good luck with the sale, if you were asking for 52k, then that would be a great deal.

unvmy996 12-11-2011 09:55 AM

damn.... what a great deal... this will not last . and yes it is priced to sell..

Acropora 12-11-2011 10:06 AM

Thanks guys, post modded. My friends are po'd I'm offering it this low and not showing how good the car looks. Will post close up pics. I'm looking for a 997tt as I just don't use this car's potential and it sits in the garage all winter.

Guys - he states the ad was all from Scott's original listing, so the main things that have changed were the miles and the price. Car is priced at $52.9K outright.

Read the OP's words - he used the old ad and updated with new info. Not that hard to understand, really.

Great car at a great price. GLWS.

Where are you located and do you have 91 octane file for this car?

Acropora 12-12-2011 10:45 AM

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm in Michigan and yes you can run the car on 91 octane.

Acropora 12-15-2011 07:55 AM

Test drive at 1.3-1.4 bar in the rain? Uh no, don't think so. Reschedule.
