Well the car is back up for sale. After the inspection was done, the payment had been sent and all the paperwork sorted out, the buyer backed out once again.

There is 92% left on the brakes and 80% left on the clutch.

I have bought my new car and I am firm at $159 for this scud!

How did they send payment and back out? Did you keep a deposit for wasting your time?

I've been on the other end recently with sellers agreeing to sale the car pending a PPI but then changing their mind or selling it to someone else.

 

Well he sent $12,000 so I think keeping that would not be fair even though he made me turn away a few other buyers who agreed to $159k. Now those buyers want it for $150k and a couple are thinking the buyer backed out because the buyer found something bad with the PPI which isn't the case. The PPI was done and then he agreed to buy the car and sent the money. Now it is even harder to sell the car...this has been frustrating.

 

Man your a lot more open minded than I am. Maybe not the entire $12000 but he should have reimbursed you something.

And your right the first thing I thought after you relisted it was what went wrong. Either way good luck with the sale. I'm in the market for something new but don't think I can do a scurderia with a baby now.

He backed out before the PPI and before he had sent money. I should have taken that as a sign. He then came back again saying he wanted it and so the PPI was done and he sent the money. Then he backed out again saying his wife was mad at him for buying it!

I'm not too worried, it should sell. When I was looking for my new car, I saw a few scuds at dealers and they were in rough shape compared to my car. If an interested buyer actually came to look at my car I'm sure it would be sold! This car has truly been fun.

I spoke to a dealer the other day and told them I want $159k for the car and they can take whatever else they make off the car. They seem pretty interested, so the price of the car may be going up significantly in the next week after I give them the car.

 

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is the best deal on 6speed. This car is a steal at $159K.

I would possibly keep 9K of the 12K and sell it to the other buyer for 150 and you're back where you wanted to be.
Maybe I'm just mean but it seems like his antics certainly damaged your ability to sell it at a fair price.
