'07 BMW M5 Ultra Rare 6 Speed Manual + Fully Serviced!!

Year: 2007
Make: BMW
Model: M5
Price: $33400
Mileage: 48000
Color: Black
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): NJ
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

After a year of wonderful ownership, I've decided to part with my Black Sapphire Metallic BMW M5. This car is incredible, and the only reason I'm selling it is because I primarily work from home now and rarely drive the car. I don't use it for short local trips and it primarily gets its milage on days I drive to the office (100 mile trip), go to a car show, or when I take it out just to drive and enjoy the experience. I am very particular with all my cars and this one is meticulously maintained (with records) and is never driven until it has had a chance to warm up.

I welcome any and all inquiries about the car, will consider all reasonable offers, and present the car for viewing and pre-purchase inspections. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or to schedule a viewing/PPI. The car is located with me in central NJ, very convenient via most highways in the region.

The car is a rare 6 speed manual example, with only a handful up for sale around the country. For those who've done their homework you already know that the manual transmission is the way to go on these cars for two reasons. 1) Where else will you find a manual transmission + a V10 engine in a 4 door sedan? 2) The SMG auto-manual transmissions are notorious for failure and costly repairs. When picking up a used M5 why bother yourself with the worry of a transmission that will need repair in a matter of time. The 6 speed manual on these is virtually bullet proof with many owners surpassing 100,000 miles on the original clutch.

2007 BMW M5
Black Sapphire Metallic exterior/Black leather interior
47,000 Miles
5.0L V10, ~525HP & ~400TQ
Purchased from second owner who purchased from BMW as certified pre-owned
Three Owner, Clean Title, No Accident or Paint History at all (verified with paint meter by (2) independent auto body specialist)
Current tires have plenty of life in them, easily another 5,000-8,000 miles
All books, manuals and maintenance records & receipts
Two Remotes and valet key

Aftermarket Upgrades:
BC Racing Coilovers - w/ height & dampening adjustment
RDSport Front & Rear Sway Bars
Evolve Alpha-N tune - $1,300
Custom Fabbed Muffler Delete Pipe - No drone, quite when cruising, exotic sounding when you get on it
Vivid Racing power pulley
RPi Ram Air Scoops
BMC Carbon Filter
20" Black EuroTek U06 Wheels w/ BMW center cap
Turner Motorsports Spacers - F20mm, R12.5mm
BMW factory short shifter

Buyer also will get factory mufflers, springs, shocks, and sway bars. All of these original parts are in excellent condition. The car will pass smog/emission in all 50 states as the stock catalytic converters (primary & secondary) have not been touched or modified.

Recent Services within last 6,000 miles:
- Oil changes x 2
- Full brake fluid flush
- Transmission fluid change
- M differential fluid change
- Shifter bushings replaced
- Wheel balancing
- Wheel alignment

Oil and brake fluid were changed on September 26, 2013.
Windshield seal replaced and differential fluid changed on October 11, 2013

The car has already had its spark plugs and brake pads replaced as well and does not need another penny until it hits 60,000 miles. However if you're compulsive like me you'll at least want to do an oil change sooner than that. Surprisingly maintenance on these cars is not as bad as people make it out to be. Purchase your OEM fluids from a reputable site like turnermotorsport.com and then any shop can do the work (I only use BMW specialty shops).

The Good:
I have taken care of this car as if I were keeping it forever, both cosmetically & mechanically
I have performed every single service on time and in many cases ahead of schedule; the car needs absolutely nothing
I have had zero mechanical/electrical/anything issues with the car. It is solid as a rock, exceptionally clean, and has just been detailed as well
The upgrades I've performed have truly enhanced the feel of the car and have made it more responsive as well as nimble

The Bad:
Half-dime sized ding on hood; barely noticeable and can easily be repaired with out paintwork
2″ faint scratch on pass-side rear bumper, wax covers it up nicely
Faint stress paint mark on rear bumper near trunk, was there when I purchased the car and has not grown since

Things I HAVE done with this car:
Driven it on long road trips
Stretched its legs on twisty mountain roads
Commuted to and from work
Tested it on a 1/4 strip (rolling start, no launch)

Things I HAVE NOT done with this car:
Crashed it
Drifted it
Taken it to a race track/road course
Done burnouts/donuts in it
Abused it
Dropped the clutch/launched it
Let other drive it
Driven it in the snow

This car makes an excellent daily driver, weekend toy, collectable, or race car - or all of that in one. It gets attention enthusiast and non-enthusiast alike, without being overly flashy or pretentious.

I prefer a buyer who can pick-up locally in NJ, but will allow for shipping anywhere in North America at the buyers expense. Payment is due in full by cash OR bank check within 7 days of purchase.

Here is a short YouTube clip to show how the car sounds. This video was taken Sept. 29, 2013. -

Nice car, but don't you think that $370k is a bit much?

The color was matte green done by Kustom Dips. You may have seen the car around in SJ/Philly

Maintenance is not bad at all, even at a dealer level. To save a bit more I order the OE fluids, filters, etc from Turner Motorsport and ECS Tuning then have a local BMW speciality shop or BMW dealer perform the service.

Generally ends up being $75 in labor for each fluid change + the cost of what ever fluid is being changed.

She's also on the 'Bay of E' if anyone wants to check it out

I'm at BMW of Mt. Laurel as I type this having the //M Differential Fluid changed, a seal on the windshield replaced, and a curbed wheel repaired

Saw this on the bimmer boards.... HNNNNNG.

I am not a fan of the e60, but I will say, this car made me like them a lot more. The 6 speed made it a winner... I've only seen a handful of them.

I figured price was a bit high, until I saw the mods and the manual trans. Low miles too. Then I realized it's a hell of a deal!

GLWS!

Thanks buddy! To add to your list, this is probably one of, if not the, most well maintained and documented 6 speed E60 M5s on the market.

Bump, still for sale. One potential buyer has kept me on hold for over a week going bank to bank trying to get a loan, but he wants to put $0 down so he may be out of luck.
