Golf RS 1 of 1 - 2.5L Big Turbo AWD sleeper
Time has come for a new project, so I'm selling my current toy.
Always garage kept. Non-smoker. Could be a show car, or could be driven daily. Car would be happy either way. Engine was swapped at 900 miles. There are 16K miles on the swap, never had any issues. Innovative Motorsports did all of the wiring and motor swap hardware stuff. United Motorsport has done all of the software for the car. Full Build Sheet: Engine: 2.5L 5-Cylinder Precision Turbo 5858 BB T4 Precision 39mm Waste gate Forge Super DV IE Rods JE Pistons 8:5:1 ARP head bolts HEP Intake Manifold BSH Motor mounts Motor Balanced Custom IMS return fuel system Intake: Custom in-house 3.5" intake piping Custom in-house 3.5" charge Piping Garret 700HP Core Exhaust: Custom in-house exhaust manifold Custom in-house 3.5" full exhaust Custom Stage 4 South bend Endurance clutch & single mass flywheel Software: ME17 MAF-less ECU United Motorsport Custom Tuning Suspension & Chassis: KW Clubsports Unibrace uB and xB bracing Brakes: Forge Motorsport 356mm 6-piston big brake kit Wheels & Tires Nuespeed RSe14 19x8 et45 Michelin Pilot Super Sport 225/35/19 Interior: Euro Motorsport Recaro Seats Exterior: OEM Euro LED Tail Lights. The car is very reliable, it has been driven long distances and hard without any issues. It could easily serve as a daily driver if you so wanted. As it stands now, the car has only seen rain a handful of times and never seen the snow. The paint is in perfect condition, not a single swirl on it anywhere. I will not part the car out, it will be sold as a whole. Considering trades ... 964 911 + cash on buyer's end. UPDATE Feb 2015: IMS has just gone through the entire car:
Car is now located in Georgia. Pictures: Everything all together and heat wrapped. Dirty from testing: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1382558680 And now for some glamour shots: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1382558680 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1382558680 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1382558680 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1382558680 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1382558680 And a video: |
Is the motor out of a TT-RS or a Rabbit motor with upgraded internals?

Nice car - the pic on the dirt looks like it's a little toy.

That, plus the carbon build up issue people see with DI after 30K miles was not something I wanted to deal with. Thus, using the VW engine rather than the Audi version.

Just changed the oil. I try and have it don every 2K miles.

Feedback from the buyer of my 1 of 1 .:R36 project car:
"Believe everything that this man tells you about his build. I bought his last insane idea dubbed the R36. The facts were all accurate and the build quality is incredible. Props to Tom and Jeff and all the others at IMS involved in its creation. I drive it hard everyday and I'm so pleased I bought it. It turns heads everywhere. I have put 15K miles on it since last fall when I bought it and the only issue I have had that required real attention was a loose rear axle bolt and a weld breaking on the exhaust down pipe. I cant really complain though, its a car and **** breaks. If your the guy that buys it you wont regret it, I might just have to find a way to go FI with my R36 to keep up. If anyone is interested in seeing the R36 feel free to PM me or come see the car at Garnet VW where I work. GLWS Jesse" Feedback can be found here |
happy holidays!

Bump!

Found my next project! Car has to go! Massive price drop.

GLWS Jessie. The ride looks great and seems to be priced right for the mods to be sure. Any dyno plots available?
