1994 Mazda RX-7, widebody, LS7, T56, 8.8", 565rwhp, Racelogic TC, more.....

My good friend Rich has owned this car for many a years... It was originally another Rich's car who was in California also and built it. It started out as as a stock bodied FD and LS6/stock rear diff/AP 13" brakes, and freshly rebuilt T56 and was a Cali BAR'd machine. It evolved into a freshly painted Montego blue widebody car with Pettit rear flares/bumper, Ronin front flared fenders, M2 racing vented CF hood with AeroCatch latches, and a healthy wet sump 427ci LS7 running a Cobra 8.8" IRS out back with Forgeline wheels. The cars focus has always been a streetable track Gudzira!
The goods: 1994 Touring model FD factory Montego blue color. This has the preferred interior plastics.... the ones that don't crack when you look at them. 427ci LS7 block, stock LS7 crank with the snout cut down, Ls7 Ti rods, wiseco 11.25:1 pistons, wcch ported LS7 heads with Ti 2.2" valves, ported LS7 intake with 56# ZR1 injectors, LG Motorsports G5x3 cam, Holley cable 90mm TB, GZ Motorsports vacuum pump (helps keep ring seal optimal and blow by to a minimal) JTR 1 7/8" long tubes, 3.5" Magnaflow s/s polished muffler. Fbody oil pan, Improved Racing baffle, oil cooler with approx 5K miles on it. Made 565rwhp/505rwtq on Newtech Motorsports dyno 91 octane. Turn One p/s pump, a/c in place, battery located in the rear bins, stereo upgraded with better speakers, Kenwood 640w amp/JL Audio 6" mini box subwoofer. AP Racing 13" 4 piston brakes front, 12.9" '99 RZ rears, s/s brake lines. ABS intact and working. This car stops! Rebuilt Stg2 T56 transmission approx 15K miles. Monster stageV single disc clutch. Shifts very tight....no slop or issues. 8.8" Cobra diff with 3.73 gears, DSS axles, 3.5" alum driveshaft. No unusual gear whine like some have. Samberg mounting equipment/radiator and cooling components Recovered FD seats with fresh leather/suede. Rare glass sunroof. Racelogic Traction adj Control. Stock engine PCM with HPTuners tune for 91 octane black interior, RaceShop chromoly roll bar, RCI 5pt quick release seat belts, Accusump, hard mounted removable fire extinguisher. Momo Corse 300mm steering wheel Forgeline 18x11 315 R888 fronts, 18x12.5 335 RA1 rear All poly bushings/rear pillowballs replaced, Megan racing coilovers TriPoint Engineering adj hollow modular front sway bar/billet mounts Freshly repainted as of 9/25/2015 bumper, hood, front fenders, rear flared fenders. The car looks awesome once again! Front bumper and fenders have s/s mesh in them. Very nicely done and riveted firmly in place. Rear fenders riveted on for easy servicing. 100% rust free..... as in not even a spec. Clean CA title. Flaws: small crack in paint above fuel door, some minor rock chips on passenger door, rear hatch had an R1 wing and holes have been closed up with plugs. The small plastic cover for the trunk/gas tank release is tan.... and has been painted... its scuffed. Accusump pukes a little by the valve.... Not a big deal as per Accusump. Cold start until it reaches 110* water temp needs some throttle input. Once warmed up its all good. ***Just retuned last week.... issue resolved*** A couple minor dings near fuel door will be removed by a ding repair guy. Tires are old and for track duty are not optimal. Either replace or learn the car with them on. The car has an aggressive alignment for handling. This can be mellowed if preferred but will adversely affect handling. The big question is why is Rich liquidating his stable? A 2010 ZR1 is calling his name... And there you have it. He works crazy hours and has no time to post/manage this ad. I've known him personally for over 15 years. Rich has been a member of the original v8rx7, torquecentral, and now the current norotors.com forum. Dude.... we are old http://www.norotors.com/Smileys/classic/gr_wink.gif He did a handful of track days with the car.... but for the most part it was just a bad ass street car. $34K obo Location San Ramon, CA gnx7 at hotmail dot com is best way to reach me.... or simply post questions on here |
Holy mother of god. That is uber bad ass! Glws!

I have more pics for an interested buyer. With a rear wing and a track dedicated front splitter the car would be a monster. It has gobs of power at nearly any RPM and obviously a large rubber footprint. Totally streetable.

How is this not better than a ZR1? Fixing stuff all the time? More luxury? Awesome car - and I'm local... don't twist my arm...

some video links I found.
Vs. a stock GTR that ran 10.8's go to 2 min 30 sec. 10.9 pass on the RA1 tires in road race form (it makes more HP now due to the straight shot intake) |
to the top for monday!

Friday bump

weekend bump.
Cold start issue resolved. new plugs installed and had the tuner play with the tune. In the high 40*F's! Price drop to $38K. Will trade plus cash on top for 2010+ ZR1 with good options. |
The holy grail of swapped RX-7's. 10.9 @ 133 on 91 octane, that's a smoking fast time! GLWS.
