This car is back on the market for sale. I didn’t update the original thread as I didn’t want to modify it. I have been out of the country for about 4-5 years. This car sat in my garage during this time un-driven. I did plan to sell this before I left but didn’t have time as moving overseas was more work than I had anticipated. The mileage did not change and should be around 44,000. I am asking $75,000. The car obviously has a dead battery and will need to be checked out at the shop before trying to run it. Because of Covid I am now stateside for the next few months, and would like to sell this car before heading overseas. Please contact me with any questions.
thank you for your interest, i can’t pm you since your account is too new. I will take some interior shots and post them later today. My email is mrthomascho@ (Yahoo) if you would like to contact me.

Thomas, barely on here anymore but still linked to this thread from years ago. It would be hard to sell this thing with everything you have into it! I had over 150K into mine and sold for 60K in 2012. Invested the money in real estate and businesses...much better places for money!
I'd say let her go for what you feel is a fair price and no less. Somebody will get a hell of a deal for sure! The market dipped hard awhile back and is back up near its peak in my experience. Not horrible time to sell if you can't use the car any longer and you're headed back overseas...

hey Kalon, it’s been awhile. Good to see you still on these forums. After discussing with many potential buyers, it’s a bit hard to let her go. But I must realize that I cannot enjoy her and when the world gets back to normal I need to head overseas again. I really want to find it a proper home for someone who will enjoy it.
thank you for contacting me. Replied.

this car is exactly what I want! Wish it was within budget!
I’m interested, but a bit concerned with the car sitting for so long. There’s going to be tons of maintenance needed and who knows what the conditions are of all the seals, fuel lines, turbos, shocks, bushings, pumps, etc. On top of that, this is a high HP car so it’s going to push everything to it’s limits; not exactly a 5 year sitting Camry. Maybe if you got the car serviced and verified, you’d have an easier time to sell it? But as of now the car isn’t even running.
If you were to be a little more realistic on your asking price, I’d be happy to come check it out.
Thanks and GLWS!

I spoke to the seller a while back about the car and getting it functional and etc since it sat with e85 for years but he went radio silent so not sure if its still available or gone.
Great car and build but with e85 sitting in it for 5 years you are looking at replacing fuel lines, injectors, pump and anything fuel related/touched.

For several days I have been getting caught up with the messages in regards to my car. The one thing I have realized at this point is my preference to finding a local buyer so that the car can remain maintained by BBi, as they built the car they would be best suited to continue the work on it. I don’t see the car depreciating anytime in the foreseeable future as it will always hold a certain value given its foundation and build. I would like to find the correct buyer who would give this car what is need to keep it well maintained; I do not want someone who will end up cutting corners and not doing things the right way. When I was building this car I wanted to do everything right, which is why whenever factory parts were an option I went in that direction regardless of cost.
I priced this project at the point I’d be willing to let it go for. It may or not make sense to you. For any less I would just get the car running and enjoy it for a couple months before having to head overseas again. This wouldn’t be the best in my opinion for the car as I don’t know how long I would be gone for once things start to normalize around the world.
It has been a blessing being able to discuss my project with so many fellow enthusiasts these few weeks. I am clear more than ever what I would like to sell this for, and the type of buyer I would want to be the future owner. This is a unique opportunity for the right person who knows exactly what went into building this beast.
