***Long story short, the car runs and drives with no check engine lights. I passed TN emissions. However it does smoke. I priced the car accordingly to allow someone to have a shop redo the engine. I bought the car off someone i trusted almost 2 years ago and lost interest almost immediately with problems that started not even half way into the drive home. I fixed a lot of the haggard stuff i found, but there is still a few small things i haven't(dent in hood, drivers fender has some rubs from po running too big of a tire, drivers headlight has a broken tab). I am pricing the car for far less than i paid, and to reflect the fact it would be easier to have a shop redo the engine and swap the stuff over. Ended up finding issues with the pistons and rings and valve seals that were in the car. Gave it a good shot at re using the oem block but i am assuming it was just a little too far out. I put new valve seals from ie, brand new je pistons and rings. While that was apart i had the downpipe and turbo hotside ceramic coated. Also had the coolant feed line ceramic coated to prevent overheating (essentially due to the original builder of the car putting the wastegate at a terrible location.) currently runs but it smokes(no cel's). Literally kills me to do this since of the potential and this being my 3rd r32 turbo but i have lost all desire to mess with it anymore. My loss is your gain
