2002 Porsche Boxster S

3 Attachment(s)
I'm looking to move on from my low mileage, very mechanically maintained (and documented) 2002 Boxster S. I've owned the car for about 2 years now and have added around 3,000 miles. Currently the car is wrapped with Avery Dennison Light Blue (which looks very similar to Mexico Blue) on a set of gloss anthracite 18" OZ Alleggerita wheels with nearly new Yokohama Advan Sport A/S tires. Also included are the stock 17" wheels with Sumitomo HTR tires with lots of life left in them (fronts are only 1k miles). The car is equipped with a Brey-Krause rollbar extension (a must have if you track the car; I attended one NASA Driver's Ed track day in the car and went in the intro group). I have a hard top that is available for an additional $1,000 to the buyer (it's Polar Silver and in one of the photos)

From the factory the car was equipped as follows:
$57,780 msrp
Black on Black
It has some of the better options:
  • Leather Sport Seats
  • M030 Suspension
  • Litronic Xenon Headlights
  • Heated Seats
  • Sports Package
  • Sport Design Package - Some of the metallic interior trim & metallic silver hardback seats
Below is a list of items repairs/maintenance I've done to the car since I've acquired it (within the last 3,000 miles), I have receipts in a binder for everything which totals to over $8,000 in recent maintenance. The car is in very good running condition and needs absolutely nothing, it's been exclusively serviced by either myself for small stuff (like routine oil changes) or Yuri at Polar Porsche/Euromotive in Cherry Hill, NJ who most recently had the car for $2k of annual maintenance and preparation for the sale.
  • LN Engineering IMS - Single Row and all complimentary service (RMS, cam plugs, flywheel bolts)
  • New factory clutch kit
  • New flywheel (not just resurfacing)
  • New coil packs, spark plugs, plug hole tubes/seals
  • Rebuilt both axels
  • Replaced the Air Oil Separator (AOS)
  • Replaced fuel sending unit
  • Replaced driver and passenger door lock assemblies
  • Purchased a new key & remote fob
  • Added Hella euro style sidemarkers
  • Brakes - front and rear (calipers, pads, sensors, repainted and re-applied Porsche script decal)
  • Replaced console lid and interior trim switches
  • Hood shocks
  • Cabin filter
  • Air Filter
  • Drive Belt
  • Horn relay & horns
  • Cowl cover (the clips on the edge had broken)
  • Engine Mount
  • Rebuilt the entire emissions system for secondary air injection system: new secondary air pump, new vacuum reservoir, and new silicon lines
  • Replaced tail lights with new LED style
  • Pioneer DEH-X7800 bluetooth single din receiver, Apline SPS410s on the dash and Infinity Primus PR5002 in the doors
  • Added the Hardtop Spin Locks
  • Added carbon fiber trim around the radio
The negatives:
  • The Vinyl wrap is a good 10 footer - I bought a 75ft roll and did it myself over the winter. I have all the extra material enough to probably wrap it again entirely as 75ft rolls are big enough for a large SUV.
  • One reported accident from when April 2002 when the car was 3 months old.
  • The convertible top fabric is a great condition but the vinyl window is cracked. I've been quoted $500 by a highly reputable auto interior shop and I will have this repaired for a full price offer (or credit the seller $500 if they want to buy the glass window top for $450 and do the 8hr labor of switching the convertible roof)
  • A small ding on the passenger fender (an indentation mid-fender on the top of the curve about 18" behind the headlight)
  • Washer sprayers do not work; but the wipers do work (I never fixed it because the car never saw rain)

$12,500 OBO
Enthusiast owned: I've got a 996 Cab, and 958 Cayenne S and am looking to free up garage space for a 996 Turbo.
Car has a free and clear, clean NJ title and is insured and available for inspections or test-drives. I can help with a PPI and shipping for out of town buyers
Additional photos upon request, Autocheck from when I purchased & current CarFax are available

Interior photos. I have the floor mats (they aren't shown in the car). There's some wear on the passenger side of the handbrake & silver around the shift knob (both common). Seats are in very good condition with little wear.

You mention new, LED style tails. Any photos?

Tail lights.

I’ll take a photo and post it tonight. They are Depo red/smoked euro style.
I have, and will include, the original OEM tail lights which are the amber/red style and are wrapped in removable light tint film.

What kind of condition is the paint in under the wrap? Would you be willing to take the wrap off prior to purchase?

Paint is in good condition underneath. Just wanted something different. I’d much rather prefer not to take the wrap off prior to purchase (the PRIOR being key). If I took the wrap off I would probably return it to stock wheels, and listing it on BaT with no reserve.
I have it listed on Rennlist too with a bunch more photos including a photos showing the wrap going on and pre-wrap. These are very representative of the paint quality. Here’s the link. https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1130562]Rennlist Ad

Let me know if you have any other questions or want to check further.

The rollbar extension has been sold already. Hardtop is not included and not in my possession. It’s at my mechanics, I sold it to him but he would be willing to sell it back to me if you are interested.
$1,000 for hardtop.
