This 1992 Porsche America Roadster is one of the just 250 built during a two-year production run to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the 356 America Roadster. Produced as a widebody variant of the 964 cabriolet, the car is finished in black over a Classic Grey partial leather interior with a black fabric top. Power is provided by a naturally-aspirated 3.6L flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and a November 2018 service included a new oil thermostat housing and lines.

Now showing 55k miles, this America Roadster is offered with partial service records, factory books and manuals, a Porsche Production Specifications certificate, a Carfax report, and a clean California title. The Turbo-look body is finished in black (L700) with a black soft top and wears “Roadster” badging on the engine lid. We believe the car was repainted prior to our ownership, and the Carfax report shows a sideswipe accident in April 2004. The accident was minor and caused no structural damage whatsoever.

America Roadsters featured factory 17″ Cup alloy wheels, and four new Continental ExtremeContact DW tires were installed in September 2018. The car borrowed the braking system and upgraded suspension items from the Turbo model.

The interior is trimmed in Classic Grey partial leather and includes eight-way power-adjustable seats, while the standard rear seats were omitted on the 911 America Roadster. Amenities include cruise control, air conditioning, and an Alpine stereo in place of the factory radio.

A factory four-spoke steering wheel fronts a set of five VDO gauges, which include a centrally-mounted 8,000-rpm tachometer and a 180-mph speedometer. The odometer currently shows just over 55k miles, 9,000 of those miles were added by us in the 15 years we've owned it.

The naturally-aspirated 3.6L flat-six was rated at 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. A service performed in November 2018 included a new oil thermostat housing and lines.

This is an amazing car and the new owner will be getting a well cared for and well sorted classic.
