997.1 Turbo Cab, 6spd, PCCB's, 18-way hardbacks, LSD,HRE, Carbon, etc.

Price reduced to sell! This fine, "driver" example of the famous 997.1 Turbo Cabriolet ("Mezger Turbo Cab") is a dream-specification, bucket-list car with all of the most desirable options. 112k miles and maintenance up to date.

If you've ever wondered what it's like to row-your-own gears in a 200-mile-per-hour sports car with the top down, drop off your kids at school, and then valet park your significant other in front of the nicest restaurant in town in the same day - all while not drawing attention from anyone other than car people - well, you've found possibly the only car ever made that can fit your elevated lifestyle demands.

The car appears to have never had paintwork done (other than some stone chip touch-ups and bumpers refinished) and is up to date with maintenance from Porsche specialists. There are some patina areas on the leather, minor wear on some plastic pieces (all replaceable if desired) and some blemishes here and there outside, but this car will look excellent to the untrained eye and will hold up for hundreds of thousands of miles of loving, hardcore use.

The following are factory options confirmed by the VIN number as being original equipment:
  • 6 speed manual transmission
  • Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes (PCCB)
  • 18-way power, adaptive, heated, painted, hardback sport seats with embossed Porsche crest
  • Full leather interior, including leather dashboard, leather center console, leather sun visors, etc.
  • Sport Chrono package
  • Limited-slip differential (LSD)
  • Illuminated carbon fiber door entry sills
  • Aluminum emergency brake and shifter
  • Thicker sport steering wheel in leather
  • All-red tail lights
  • Phone module (PCM)
  • Remote CD Changer
  • Parking assist
Modifications include:
  • Forged HRE P40 monoblock rims with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (original cost of over $10,000)
  • Passport 9500 hardwired radar detection and laser jamming
  • Alpine stereo head unit with backup camera and Bluetooth phone and audio
  • OEM child seat top anchor bracket (mounted in the factory location, behind the rear parcel shelf)
Interested buyers may inquire about an optional, handmade Kline stainless exhaust system, a hand-held Cobb performance tuner, and a matching Porsche child seat.

Maintenance is up-to-date, with the hydraulic spoiler actuators being rebuilt, turbos lubricated, oil / fluid change, fuel system cleaning, replaced cracked exhaust manifold, replacement of electro-magnetic rear-view mirror, window alignment, and other miscellaneous items.

The vehicle also recently received a paint correction, Ragg Topp soft top cleaning and waterproofing, stone chip touch-up, minor paintless dent removal (3 dime size dings), ceramic coating, and Leatherique interior treatment - over 40 hours of labor in cosmetic restoration.

The vehicle comes with two keys, a set of manuals, and a few extra parts. It is currently missing the carpet panel that sits at the bottom of the front trunk.

If you're looking at this listing, you're probably already aware that this particular car is a "Goldilocks" model for the following reasons:
  • 997 body is the last of the classically-styled and traditionally-scaled 911
  • The Turbo Cab looks especially striking with its low stance and wide body
  • 997.1 generation cars were the last to be built with the race engine famously designed by Hans Mezger (as used in the GT3, but with turbo chargers)
  • 997 was the last Turbo model to be available with the manual transmission
  • 997.1 with Ceramic Brakes and Sport Chrono options were essentially the Turbo S model that was not offered in 997.1, but with a manual transmission
  • The Limited Slip Differential, Full Leather Interior, Carbon Fiber Door Sills, and Adaptive Hard Back Seats are very rare and ultra-desirable options
  • The 997.1 generation cars can be modified to absolutely wild power levels with the factory engine, transmission, and other major components - by adding bigger turbos, a software tune, and some fuel and cooling system accessories, you can take this 500 horsepower car to anywhere between 700 and 2000 horsepower
