1992 It has the square air bag. Looks like a tissue box. It would be totally different from the 996.

AW, if you ever get yours hands on a thicker version of the OEM with aluminum parts on the wheel itself, let me know...a while back you had one for sale mind you I think it was for a 997...can't quite remember.
