Feeler?: Prices on used Supercharged RR Sport
Feeler?: Prices on used Supercharged RR Sport
What can one expect to pay to finance for a used (off-lease?) SC RR Sport with around 20k mileage?
Would the cost of residuals make this a sensible purchase?
What are some of the pros and cons of buying one used?

From what I have seen the pre-owned market for RR Sport S/C is insane as far as pricing goes. Might as well get a new one from some of the stuff I've seen. What kind of price have you been quoted?
Haven't seen any with that kind of mileage....but ones around 10k miles are going for mid 60s easily.
You're not going to find any off-lease for about another year.
Buying with only 10-20k miles, you're not going to run into major problems, but keep in mind it is a british car, if you plan on keeping it past 50k, either get a CPO, or get a great warranty.

Alex - RR covers maintenance but not brakes. At 20K, you'd probably need new brakes, so factor that in (or check to see whether they've been replaced). Agree that you'll want an extended warranty if you plan on keeping it beyond the original warranty, too.
If the resale on these are so high, wouldn't one think that the residual rates that the banks use would be high, as well?

Land Rover certified is the only way to go if you plan on having the vehicle past the original warranty. Services are free every 7,500 miles under factory warranty but Bobby is right as most of the supercharged vehicles need brake replacement around 20-25k miles. I figure if you're going to spend mid 60s on a pre-owned might as well buy a brand new one at $71k.

I'm trying to convince my GF that it we might as well go new. She's pretty adamant about not buying new until our credit gets back to teir 1. Where can I find the literature to explain your points regarding bank residuals etc?
If we do go used it would definitely be CPO'd. I've heard enough about British cars reliability new.
I would never make that mistake.
No quotes yet. We were thinking that we would get ready for the vehicles coming off lease in 6 months to 1 year.

Funny we're talking about this because I have a customer looking to off-load his RR Sport S/C with 8k miles. Blk/Blk pretty well equipped, 22" wheels. If anyone may be interested give me a shout, we're in Indianapolis.
