WTB: GT2 Does anyone know anything about these GT2's
Hi Everyone,
I'm in the market for a perfect condition GT2. Would prefer an existing GT700 but open to buying one stock and doing the conversion on my own. Does anyone know anything about these two cars? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=018 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=001 Thanks for the help! Jamie |
Both of those sellors have quite good reputations.

those are some nice 1's, i would choose the 1st one

a few guys with gt2s online that also have the gt700 set up want to sell...
|
there is a clean one here in san antonio that is at a dealership. i think it is a
silver 02/03, low miles. if you are interested pm me and i will give you the contact info. fyi, i have no personal interest in this car. roy |
Thanks guys. Please PM me if you know anyone wanting to sell, or ask them to contact me. I tried to find a perfect GT700 996 a bit ago, but couldn't find one, so decided to try the GT2 route instead :D
It seems like 105-110k for a perfect, low mile stock example is a decent price? Is it really worth the 30-35k or so premium over a 996 when going the GT700 route on both cars? Input? Jamie |

Yea, I agree. I have two heavily modded cars right now, a 1135rhp Supra and a soon to be done 550rwhp S4. Selling heavily modded cars is a real PITA as expectations for value are all over the map.

I talked with a salesman about the 2nd GT2 you have there. Nice guy to talk with but was asking a little too much for it for my taste. Supposedly all the cars they sell are in real MINT condition. He mentioned they spend something to the tune of almost $1500 for the detail/prep service as their cars are like band spanking new. He wouldn't budge under $135k and I passed.
I say go for the one posted in this forum that is a 2004 GT2, much more rarer and has all the CF from Porsche, wing, side mirrors and only 958 miles. Good luck and when you do get it, you will LOVE the GT2, such a masterpiece that model is, and the exclusivity is awesome. Not to mention sheer raw power by Porsche the old fashioned way, straight to the heart. Bajo |

I have already looked at a really nice 02 artic silver for $110k with about 20k miles. It's easy to spend more, but I'm going to be patient for the right car.
