What's up Ryan? I'd like to figure out a tires and wheel package for next year. I've been checking out Hoosiers. Did you try this combo last year? Also, I'm looking into some different rotors as well.

Correct in that it is NOT PCA Club race legal. However it is NOT cosmetic only, it is fine for DEs, just not racing.

I tried different sizes of the Toyo R888s, and the Hoosiers. Hoosier are great but can't drive to track on them. I'm going to stick with 255/35/18 and 315/30/18 on CCW Corsairs. I busted a 1:22 at Summit last week on them Sticking with the protosport rotors.

Resurrecting a very old thread ...

does anyone know if the 996 bar will fit in a 997? And for the 997 bar, what did you use for harness attachments? From what I understand the 997 bar does not accommodate harnesses

Thanks

Lorne

997 Bar

The 997 Bar is designed for harnesses and the Hans Device. The spacing between the hoops are perfectly aligned to keep the harnesses together behind your neck and shoulders. The bar also allows the harness to be placed as close as possible to the back of the seat making this set-up very safe (much better than the 996 bar). As for harness - Schroth is very easy to set-up in this car and bar. Go with the Schroth desinged GT3 harness which is made for this car.
