Wrong! I had Fabspeed Maxflow with Fabspeed headers too. Sound like ****! Not even close to PSE hacked. So disappointed with the result and paying $$$ for Fabspeed I sold the exhaust after 5 months and took a 50% loss.

I have a set of SpeedArts that are fantastic (made in Germany, very high quality). I understand what you are looking for, mine are a little loud for me but sound soooo good that I will live w/it

I would like to suggest FVD (TUV version). Made in Germany as well and they are the quiet version (TUV meets the stringent European noise restrictions).
It was described to me as slightly louder than stock but very refined sound.
They (some lady I talked to twice @ FVD) also told me that if I did not like the sound return for a full refund.
I was going to buy them but SpeedArt's were on sale for $1300 (reg price is back to approx $2000) so that was that.

Now the FVD TUV is on sale, go figure...

In past year, I have experimented so many different exhaust brands on my 02 996 3.6 and the conclusion is ...

Too loud for daily driving:

1. Straight pipes

Aggressive sound:

1. 997 PSE hacked with double by-pass.
2. Afterhour exhaust.
3. Ruf
4. TechArt
5. GHL
6. Gembella

Moderate sound:

1. Agency Power
2. Cargraphic
3. Fabspeed
4. Z-Tek

Have not try Remus, AWE, Europipe.
