Hi,

I decided to post it here before I put it on Ebay - I would prefer local pickup so if there are any MA folks here who want Maxflo mufflers - PM me your offer. I am located in Natick, MA. If you are reasonably far I could drive half way to handle those mufflers to you.

Here is link to where I got them:

997 MAXFLO Performance Mufflers $1,195/set

Mufflers were installed with Fabspeed X-pipe and were on car for 4 months roughly. condition is almost brand new. I was forced to take them off as my wife could not tolerate that car speaks louder than she does. :)

Sound was perfect to my taste, so, take your chance.

Will you be taking off your X-pipe too?

If I may ask, are there any markings or stamps the display "Fabspeed" or "Maxflo" on these? The reason I ask is that I bought a set a while back used as well, but there are no markings anywhere. I have always wondered if they are actually Fabspeed.

Thanks

nope, it stays. :) I like it pretty much and sound wise it adds a bit even with stock mufflers.

I do not think I saw any markings on those. X-pipe has 'fabspeed' written on a plate but I do not recall mufflers having this.

any idea what a shop charges to install these mufflers? Are the mufflers super loud without the x-pipes?

superman77 02-11-2010 03:51 PM

do you have all of the warranty paperwork that came with them originally? are these the s or regular mufflers?

I have the Fabspeed mufflers. Put them on and drove for a while, later adding the x-pipe and (non Fabspeed) headers. The mufflers alone are not nearly 'too loud'. They are louder, particularly at high RPM and WOT. But not over the top in any way. Even with the x-pipe, the sound is modestly louder (and a bit different) at low load/rpm and really opens up (and sounds quite different) at high/WOT settings. I really like the setup. I'd gladly do it all over again, and have no reason to try anything else. Their build quality is absolutely excellent.
In fact, I just ordered their CF intake system. Although I have the EVOMS intake and it seems to work well, I've been so impressed with the Fabspeed products that I'm interested in trying theirs.
