Pirelli P Zero Nero Rosso's 295/30/ZR19 100Y 7 out of 9/32 left.. Almost Brand new

Category: Wheels & Tires
Price: $350
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Turbo
Location (State): CA
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

(please see additonal posts below for pictures and amount of tread left. This thread was moved from another location to here since it turned into a for sale ad.)

I have just purchased some new to me wheels and tires (5,000 miles on them). The rear tires are Pirelli P Zero Nero Rosso's 295/30/ZR19 100Y. They have 85% tread left and I think I should be running the 305/25/19 to get the revs and OD closer to the target (which is smaller) of matching the fronts.

Since the rears tend to get chewed up on these cars I figured people are constantly looking for another set. These came off a 997TT which is why I am looking to possibly switch them out at some point.

Anyways, the new tires are $520 each. I am curious how much my current tires are worth before I pull the trigger on a new set of rears.

Thanks,
Bryan

Ok

If someone is willing to pay $400 for this rubber (less than a year old) than I am down. These tires are over $430 brand new a piece and have 85% tread left or morw. Only 5,000 miles on them.

Anyone? Should I advertise in the 997 forum?

Thanks,
Bryan

They are likely not worth the cost of shipping/mounting/balancing for a buyer. You should just turn off PSM and have some fun doing some power slides.

5000 miles and only 15% worn? So you are saying you would get 30,000+ miles out of them?

Not quite

You are correct when you state that they are 15% worn but I have no idea about the wear qualities or the compound make up of these tires... Or anyones driving habits.

With that being said they may last for 100 miles if you do donuts.

But, the 15% worn is the only thing I will stand behind. I can measure the depth with a gauge if someone was interested to confirm. And yes, they do only have 5000 miles on them... 6k at the most.

Let me know,
Bryan

The average tires on these cars will get you MAYBE 15k under average driving. $500 shipped for the pair would be a windfall.

With 5k miles I'd bet you they are probably half worn at least. These cars are well known for chewing up rears at a rapid clip.

I know I wouldn't pay much for these when I could get an entire set of Sumis new for just a bit more $$.

Excuse me

I wonder why you feel comfortable saying the tires that I say have 85% left are more than 1/2 worn when you haven't even seen them.

Don't you think it would be best to leave it up to myself and the potential buyer to figure this out and make their own educated decision?

I actually agree with the 15k life span for tires on these cars but it is all about driving. I don't really care if I sell but please don't make an assumption from absolutely no knowledge of this item.

Thanks,
Bryan

Pics

These are the wheels that I just purchased. I literally put them on last weekend after my trip to Germany. They have less than 50 miles since they have been on my car.

Sorry, I will take them to a tire place to measure 32nds for interested party.

I also included a picture of them on my car from last weekend after the install with 13mm spacers.

Funny

Everyone wants the info... I add it and then no one responds. Busy weekend I guess. No biggy.

I had the new tires installed and these removed today. The tire shop measured and they both have 7/32 left of thread. They started with 9/32 at new. I guess they are not 85% but 78% isn't bad either.

These tires are almost brand new. Anyone out there want a huge discount?

Let me know,
Bryan

I assume you've read up on the dangers of running unmatched diameters front and rear on the 996TT.

By design the 997TT has a mismatch- which it perfect on the 997, but can blow the diff on a 996

Yes

This is why I am selling them. I just added the correct tire size since I purchased these off a 997.. I was looking for value mainly. Wasn't sure how many 997 owners are on this section.

I will post in 997 Forum.

Thanks,
Bryan

I'd say 50% of tirerack price.

They have no warranty- if someone buys them and the won't road force balance, they are screwed. 80% of the tread minus a discount for not being new.

I've bought unmounted PS2s for 60-70% of new...also no warranty

Just my opinion
