Hey guys, long shot here...but I am looking for a GT3 RS orange ( RS pure orange) center console and or any cool interior parts that were painted orange for a 997 from the factory.
I realize the chance is slim, but any of you weekend racers have one out there and want to sell it, let me know.

why dont you just have your center painted? or call any one of the porsche dismantlers, im sure they have a few in stock, paint one of those (assuming yours isnt paintable)

 

I am exploring that idea, my console has the crappy rubbery finish, so I know there will be alot of work that will need to be done. Would prefer to buy a painted one that has no finish and have it reshot...saves me time and money plus I would not have to be out of the car for more than a few hours, cuts down on my wait time.

 

actually the rubbery finish you describe is just the center console unpainted. its actually plastic and it is what needs to be painted if you wanted a painted center from factory. I know that this is the case because I have painted mine (own a bodyshop) came out factory, and have done it for a few friends as well

edit: btw Eric from bumperplugs (vendor) does do a core exchange to have a painted one delivered to you, no down time, only thing is you need to remove the console yourself and install the new one.

 

I just removed my own stock black plastic console, and had my body shop paint it. Came out OEM looking. Not a lot of work at all, just prepped and sprayed it, and added some flex agent to the paint. Cost me 200.
