Looking for a 996/986 Techart Genuine center Console, Silver/Aluminum color. This is not the OEM one, nor Gemballa, Arctic Silver, etc. It has a distinct brushed matte finish, different from anything else when looked up close.

Yeah they do a good job, but the Techart one is different. No clear coat, and it has a brushed texture like somebody used a hard brush when the pain was wet. As I have the other pieces, it needs to match.

Yep Gucci, hard to find... so hard that I got bored of looking around for the console and posted this . Ideally I'll find it. Option B is what you say, paint it as the original.

I am getting the car to first gen 996 Techart specs, original pieces so far.. a pain to find but fun

I have the OEM aluma package and wanted to get my rear center console painted the same. I spoke to Eric a few times about it and decided to paint it Arctic Silver like my exterior. You can barely tell a difference and it works well. Honestly if you look at the various silver painted pieces from Porsche inside your car, they have subtle differences.

As far as I have seen, they look quite different in real life. The Techart is rather dull color, and no clear coat, and with some texture. It has to be a pain to maintain due to the lack of coating. The others, look shining. If I can't find it I can always copy the original, painting it, or have somebody like Eric do it... if they can match it. But I like original
