There is plenty of air to suck where the filters are. Car handled business on on 20psi vs purpose built drag car.

Sorry about a slight Hijack, but I could sell mine if someone's interested, it'll be obsolete in few weeks. 2½" to 3½", powdercoated black.

HDi-GT clamps from Australia. http://www.hybrid-power.com/#!hdi-clamp Double O-rings, not in picture, I wanted to keep them safe until installed. 997 GT2 intake parts (and ICs), except TB which is from a Cayenne turbo. 997 VTGs.

Looks good but, i would have left it bare for thermal reasons. I'm also a sucker for polished aluminum

There is enough air flowing through the inside of the intake pipes that any coating on the outside just really does not matter.
