Hi All,

I am looking to upgade my 997.1 C2 standard steering wheel to the "sport" (XPA???) wheel. I want to retain the triangle airbag from my current wheel, but am looking for the version with palm swells. Must be black leather; I am not looking for multi-function capability. I know they are available from Suncoast and other retailers, but I am looking for a bargain!

sport steering wheel is by definition with a round airbag. if you want to keep your triangle bag you need to go custom

Sport steering wheel by definition also does not support multifunction capabilities.


I have a 06 C2S manual with sport steering wheel and have considered going to a standard wheel and retrofitting to multifunction capabilities.

Any interest in a swap including airbag? Condition, price difference, and so on would all need to be taken into account to make the deal real though.

 

Hmmmm - I think you might be on to something. A swap might give us both what we're looking for. Is there something you prefer about the plain-Jane, skinny wheel? I like its precision, but the tactile feel leaves something to be desired. My only problem is that mine's my daily driver, so it'd be a bit hard for me to do without the wheel for a couple of days while we make the swap. in any event, it's well worth considering and we should see if we can make it work. I'll send you a PM with my email address and perhaps we can exchange wheel photos and discuss money.
