997.1 Gundo'd mufflers. Dual by-pass pipes.

Selling a set of 997.1 Gundo'd (and Banana modded) dual by-pass mufflers. They were on my car when I got it and I put another 5k miles on them before swapping them out. They have both bypasses on them and they sound great. The sound is a bit higher pitch than the typical aftermarket exhaust and sounds great from 3k to 4.5k and then changes pitch again above 5k (this is with 200 cell cats). They would be a bit more reserved with stock cats. They actually sound better than the Cargraphics that replaced them, in my opinion, so I'm now moving on to Afterhours for a different sound. The welds aren't beautiful, but they are very solid with good penetration. Overall condition is very good. They were obviously painted after the gundo mod and the paint is chipping in certain areas - purely cosmetic. See pics for condition. Can be shipped or picked up locally.

Did these mufflers come off a 3.6 or a 3.8. I'm concerned about the fit of the diameter of the muffler inlet to the headers as I have a 3.6.

they came off a 3.8 S, but don't these fit a 3.6 also?

I know that on the 3.8, the outside diameter of the pipe that the tips attach to is about 2 1/4" which is somewhat bigger than the 3.6. What is the outside diameter of the pipe section that connects to the headers on your Gundo set?

I'm under the impression that 3.6 and 3.8 mufflers are interchangeable. Can someone please confirm (or deny) that? Tips are not interchangeable, though. Thanks.

I'm almost certain that a 3.8 exhaust will fit a 3.6 997 - can anyone confirm that? I have a potential buyer who just wants to make sure the inlet pipe and cat pipe are the same diameter.
