SpoolBus goes to Atco

Decided to make some test passes at Atco this Sunday on mild boost level setting ~830whp. Eddie Bello is not done tuning my big boost map yet so I ran what we had so far.

E85 from the pump, 6262 turbos, drove it to and from the track, Mickey DRs, FULL Weight, ERP Carbon Triple Clutch, Carbonetic LSD, DriveShaft Shop Axles.

-Thanks Tim for putting a TON of time into working on my car, always trying new things out. We have spent a lot of late nights on this thing and this E.T/trap goes to show that. Most of the credit really goes to him !
-Thanks Eddie Bello for tuning the SpoolBus, my 2150cc injectors idle at stoich now.
-Thanks to my all my friends that helped with the car, came out to support on Sunday at Atco and made some good videos. There is footage of me lifting the front wheels in 2nd gear on one of the passes

I will have video up sometime this week.

Very nice,All those numbers look real good for a true street machine..:)
If you are constant at that, you truly have a killer STREET car...
ET wins races ,not MPH, on the drag strip and stop lights,,, as you know..;)

thanks John. i ran 3 low-mid 10 sec passes and aborted my first pass that had a poor 2.00 60ft and then lifted the front wheels in 2nd gear. street car was the goal. it was full weight/full interior, probably even more and driven to and from the track 1hr each way using gas that costs 3.69$/gallon.

OH,,I forgot to mention the car needed a killer driver to do those times,, someone that can make use of the power they have other then from a roll..:)

Congrats, nice times and numbers.

How long have you had the LSD, how does it hold up to that power?

LiNks 05-28-2013 12:47 PM

Can't wait for the vids of the wheelie!!

Out of interest, how long did the stock axles last at around 800whp?

calling a few inch lift a wheelie is a stretch lol but its cool nevertheless...

I have broken a stock axle at 700whp before at the track. if you dont drag race stock axles will last for a long time. i was making 900+ on stock axles for a full season.

The LSD is new for this season. Under 600 miles on it I would guess. Seems to work well and it doesnt make any noise using RedLine fluid.

Congrats on the times, you are nearly into 9's. Out of curiosity how do those 6262's run on the street?

Nice job !

johnspeed 05-28-2013 06:52 PM

I would think that those new gear ratios helped drivability off the line and in the gear recovery RPM range between the shifts as compared to the stock ratios?

MBailey 05-28-2013 07:52 PM

Congrats Mark!!

I added it to list...
