I love the ccw classics, LOVE THEM. These will not fit my 996 turbo as is. I was led to believe they would and took someone at face value.
So here is my predicament... Keep them and totally redo them to exactly what I want or give someone the opportunity to get their hands on some wheels that otherwise they can't.
Here is what I was told... 18x9 front and 18x11 rear...that part is true.
CCW does not release "offsets" they use backspacing, so bear with me a bit here.
After I measured, it looks like approx 45mm front wheel offset +/- 2mm and the rears are around a 67 again with some margin of error.
I would say minimum polish the lips...the center look decent, but not perfect.
They were used on a narrow body race car (I know, but he told me they were not a typical NB offset and that they would fit a widebody) I figured they'd be closer to say a 50mm rear then I could make do with a spacer.
Anyway, the other issue is I have to decide rather quickly as I am in need of rear tires. The wheels will dictate what size i buy.
If interested, let me know. Possibly willing to trade for wheels. I would prefer to stick with 18in.

sounds like the fronts will work but the rears will def not work on a Turbo unless you were willing to run a giant 30mm spacer. its a shame that you were mislead but you also have to do your homework, if a wheel works on a norrowbody it will not fit the rear of a widebody.

I'll know Saturday for sure if they'll clear my front brakes. Then I may be keeping them and building them the way I want.
I actually run a 17mm spacer on RG5's in the rear so when they guy told me they were narrow body but not "regular" narrowbody fitment. That is what intrigued me. He said they had to modify fender on his race car to get them to work. So I figured worst case...I'd run my 17mm spacer still. Best case, they'd be closer to WB offset. Either way I'm content thinking there was no ill-will associated. I just do't think he knew what he was talking about.
My guess is they started life as a narrower wheel and then they just put a little wider barrel on it.
But if I do keep them, I'll totally redo them.

They do NOT fit my brakes...stock brakes would be fine.
ok the most careful and accurate measuring gives me
front offset: 43mm
rear offset: 68mm
fronts are 7.5in barrels and 1.5 lips
rears are 9.5 in barrels and 1.5 lips
They do NOT clear my big front brakes...stock brakes would be fine.
I'm willing to move these...so let me know

PM me for a deal that I'm probably stupid to do, but at least it will make my wheel decision for me. I'm ready to be done with the whole fiasco.

I gave out my paypal address a couple times this weekend...no one has sent money yet, so they are still up for grabs.

I don't know about the 997 offsets and brakes, I have the 355mm Brembo upgraded ones and they did not clear those. I am supposed to receive payment tomorrow or them.
