Thanks for all the kind words guys. We're working really hard here to bring you the best we can.

TopGun and Aiden is next :)

Now if the phone will leave me alone I'll get back to work!

There certainly must be a high level of patience to bring power like this and reliability together. We are doing our best for you guys and will continue to do so. Thanks Again!!

Can one do E85 Proefi on an old E39 540I

Great write up and an over all fun day! Crazy how a basically stock engine (rods, studs, porting and unicorn tears) can achieve power and trap speeds that you have! Congrats on moving up the ladder.

couldnt have done it without you.

congrats bro! Car runs very well for just having rods! It just confirms that these cars need just a good standalone and a few tweaks. Good Job

thanks tommy. cant wait to see yours all wrapped up and running good on the ProEFI.

I have similar drop on my 997, that is awesome power for a basically stock motor. Gives me hope knowing this is on stock head studs and oil pump. Car is running hard please be safe!
Matt

Thanks Matt.

I have the following done to my motor:

-still a 3.6L
-Carrillo Rods with CARR bolts
-Raceware headstuds
-GT3 RS Oil Pump with dual pick ups
-997TT updated lifters
-Lightly ported heads

Stock pistons, liners, crank, cams, valves, valvesprings etc

Congrats Mark! Car is an animal for basically rods only engine. I am wondering how it feels to pilot this beast down the track (day dreams).

I just put new mickeys on it and did a lot of suspension arms over the winter so my allignment guy really dialed it in nice. Between new DRs, allignment and smooth traction control car just hooks and goes.

Damn! I was really excited think the stock headstuds where in there. I almost build my motor when the stupid coolant fitting blew out, but figured with my mustang and datsun no point in having another project. Still impressive power, the proefi traction control is badass!

Mine will get some love soon

yeah all my coolant fittings are welded. when one popped out from the oil cooler few years ago thats actually why the motor came out and we built it. i would def not put a motor back together with stock headstuds, racewares are only $700. i do use factory OEM Porsche headgaskets.

i hear you on the project thing. one thing is turning it into a project another is throwing rods and headstuds into it to protect your investment.

Completely agree on rods, head studs, and oil pump when in there, just was hoping to hear stock head studs since im at close to limit on rods and studs. I take my car out on kill every time I drive her so we will see. Cant wait to see cam results.

mikerosi Apr 10, 2014 05:39 PM

very nice Marc. but I have one question for you in your dyno chart: Why is your HP and Torque not intersecting at 5250 rpm`s?? Mike

They do on the dynojet. On the Mustang the hp and Tq scaling for the graph is different if you look at the left side.

ttboost Apr 10, 2014 05:47 PM

On the last dyno sheet ,they cross at 5252...

Undercover Tuning Apr 10, 2014 06:00 PM

Its all about where the scaling is set to. Mustangs give you the ability to rescale the y axis as you prefer. For instance if identical scales are forced they will cross at 5252, like on the dynojet. Where as on the mustangs y axis it shows peak torq and peak hp on y axis, not 0 to 1100 for instance. However identical scales can be forced, its just not default setting.
