I have a set of FVD straight pipes if you're interested. I'll be listing them in their own thread in a few days.

As does the car they were on previously ! They're a great turbo for the street.

Fyi. 24/26 the "26" part is different numbering than the 18 and 20

The k24/26 is built from kkk/Borg worner parts

The k24/18 and k24/20 is a kkk/bw turbo with Mitsubishi based wheels.

Long story short the 26 does not mean it's bigger than the 18 and 20.

I made that mistake at first. I had fvd 24/26 race turbos and even with stock inlet piping made 1.3 bar at 3500 rpm

My 24/20 I have now have more lag than the 24/26.

So the 24/26 wouldnt be as hard on the rest of the drivetrain as would the 24/20's?? Would the same supporting mods be required??

Jose
thanks for the info.

Funny that's exactly what these turbos are , the FVD race k24/26 turbos . I have the upgraded inlet piping for them as well. Definantely a good set up for the street. I had mine running 1.4 bar with this setup before and even with the stock intercoolers the car pulled great and performed well on the street.

I seem to remember some telling me the 24/26 wheel was a hair bigger than the 18 wheel but didn't spool quite as quickly.

I think the 24/26 was a good turbo.

I'm not an expert but it seems to me torque kills motors and the sooner it happens in the rpm range, the more stress.

That's where I think the 24/26 were good. Made decent power up top but didn't blow up with torque.
