I am in the process of upgrading to a full Piper cage in my 1999 996 and am selling the roll bar I have currently installed. Only used for one year - black and in excellent condition.

New it was $2,400 - asking $1,200 OBO. would like to sell locally but will ship if necessary. Being pulled from the car in 2 weeks.

This bar is the one your want because unlike most of the "bolt in" bars the front legs actually bolt to the floor of the car - it also has several extra cross bars. IMHO this is much stronger(safer) than the types that bolt to the seatbelt mounting points because if the extra rigidity.Yes you need to drill holes in the floor but its not that hard to do - a friend and I installed it in a few hours together and I will be happy to help the buyer as well (if they are local)

how much seat movement did you lose? I am 6'3" and looking for something that similar that allows full seat movement.

 

I didnt lose any movement. The front legs to the bar bolt right up against the rear seat platform and the verticals are behind the B pillar. You should be able to get your seat all the way back without issue.
