997.1 Borla Exhaust

Category: Engine - Exhaust
Price: $1000
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Non-Turbo
Location (State): AZ
Item Condition: Used

Almost brand new (2K miles) Borla system. These were removed from a 3.6, but the tube sizes are the same as the 3.8. I paid $1,700 for these and have reverted to stock while prepping the car for sale. Asking $1,000 plus shipping to CONUS.

No, these are mufflers are for normally aspirated engines only.

The Borla part number of mine is 140233. I'll call Borla tomorrow and ask the sales person I dealt with if they will fit your 996.

I did speak to Borla today and they indicated that they do not know if these mufflers will fit a 996, as they used a 9907 as the model for muffler development. I suspect they will fit your car because that area of the car is pretty similar to the early 997s. Possibly you could ask Porsche if the stock 996/997.1 muffler part numbers are interchangeable?

So I spoke to Fabspeed today and they said although they are very similar, the 996 and 997.1 exhaust are slighly different. I am thinking I may be able to have it fabbed to fit but with that cost I may as well find one for the 996. Sorry, I was hoping it would work. Thanks for your communication and GLWS!!!
