We'll do this in a Q/A format:

1. What am I selling?

A set of OEM Carrera Sport wheels. More specifically, as follows:

Front: 19x8.5 ET55, part number: 997.362.156.55
Rear: 19x10 ET 42, part number: 997.362.160.50

These were factory options on the 997 and 987.

2. Do they come with tires?

Yes, the tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

Front: 235/35/19
Rear: 265/35/19

3. How much do you want for them?

$1499 USD. OBO (or, as the Brits say, ONO).

4. Will you ship?

I seriously would rather not. Really. Just the thought of shipping these gives me shivers and goose pimples.

5. Why are you selling?

I had a friend purchase them several months ago for me in NorCal to run on a 987.2 Cayman I was going to buy. I did not buy the Cayman. I just picked them up from my friend's garage in NorCal and now have them down here in SoCal. I don't want use them on my 993.

6. Do they come with TPMS sensors?

I have no idea, I've never cracked them open to see. If they do and you end up buying them, consider yourself extra-lucky :P.

7. What do they fit?

These were OEM on 997s and 987 Boxsters and Caymans. They apparently fit a variety of other cars, including 996s, 986s and, from what I've read, 993s and even 964s (although you may need spacers for the aircooled cars).

8. What do they look like on a 987 Cayman?

Suck it!

You thought you could pull something over on me, eh?

16. What is the condition of these wheels?

Good question. They're not perfect, but they're not bad at all. Let's go over it:

Some people have asked about date codes. They're all in the 2016 range. The two rears are 1616 and the fronts I think are 0816 (one may be 1316).

Hey VadGTI,

I'm looking into getting 19" wheels for A/X. My son and I enjoy the competition, but the Wife complains about how often we go through tires. Your wheels fit my needs. Let's see if I can meet some of yours.
1) Shipping is not necessary, I'll pick them up.
2) I have a 987.2 so they fit.
3) The wife is Australian so "her" ONO is $1,200.
4) They look perfect on the Cayman you've depicted!
I hope this is a win-win?

G'day mate! I was finishing up my Vegemite sandwich when I received a thread reply notification to this thread. PM me and we shall discuss. Cheers!

Nice to see you speak Aussie. I just joined 6speed and based on the following I don't think I can PM, yet.

I didn't spend my college years working at the Outback Steakhouse for nothin'! I think there's a drop down menu if you click on my screen name that will allow you to email me. If not, let's try this. I've made some random text bold in this response and capitalized it VAD. Putting it together contains my e-mail address (five letters and two numbers at the end) IM98 and should hopefully avoid various bots collecting it and spamming me. Just add the "at" and "gmail" at the end.
