FS: GMG WC Exhaust for 991.1
 

I am selling the GMG Exhaust that was installed on my 2016 991.1 GTS for the last 2 1/2 years (but it only has 1,600 miles on it, as this car does not get driven much). Exhaust is in good condition and includes all clamps / hangers. This exhaust is significantly lighter than the factory system. It is also much deeper in tone and volume, especially at higher revs. There is little to no drone, but there is constant volume. It also significantly reduces the amount of heat in the engine Bay Area with the deletion of the side mufflers. The large diameter matte black tips look very aggressive.

This system replaces all 3 factory mufflers ( middle and 2 side) with a lightweight middle unit. New, this system was just over $3,500 (w/ tax and shipping). I will cover shipping (continental US only). PayPal =wjhoffmann@hotmail.com

From the GMG Site: This is the GMG WC-Sport Exhaust system for the 991.1-gen Porsche 911 Carrera. It is engineered to offer a more efficient flow of the exhaust gases while offering an unforgettable exhaust note. The stock exhaust system is pretty constricted and so this system helps to bring the flat six to life. The result in an unforgettably raw sound and a smoother power curve.

This system is made by GMG in Southern California. It is TIG-welded from US-made T-304 stainless steel tubing. The system features a number of GMG engineering hall-marks including two inline custom-fabricated mufflers and a crossover X-pipe.

The crossover X-pipe works by balancing the exhaust pulses from both banks of cylinders. It allows the exhaust gases to flow down the path of least resistance while speeding up exhaust velocity. At lower revs, turbulence is formed as exhaust gases try to shuffle past a second column of gases coming from the other side. The X-Pipe merges the exhaust into two uniform streams, allowing a smooth flow from engine to exhaust exit.
